It’s strange .... Democrats feel safe when everyone is wearing masks and leftist thugs are burning down cities.

I mean, if an individual store owner chooses to run a "no shirt, no shoes, no mask: no service" operation, s/he should have that right, no? People who don't like that policy can of course shop elsewhere--and no doubt will.
No, because stores are public accommodations, and thereby have to adhere to the U.S. Constitution and all federal and state laws, including to not discriminate against patrons.

Great sarcasm, thanks. I love these arguments that don't make any sense.

So far they've kept getting worse, so don't hold your breath (but keep wearing your mask).
A little factoid from the US as of Sept 6th: In 2020 the total death number in the US versus 2017’s total death number was 952,398 shy of hitting 2017 death toll. That amounts to 33.9% left of the total to equal the 2017 numbers. With 118 days left in the year which is 32.3% of the year left it looks like a similar outcome to 2017.
No pandemic.

So I guess they have to allow people to smoke on the premises too, right? Actually, establishments do have the right to refuse service as long as it is not enforced selectively on certain specified groups (based on gender, race, disability status, etc.). For example, airlines can legally require mask wearing.
I have added gloves , mask and plastic face shield at work .
I’ve got to say I’ve been wearing a mask since March 1 and I’ve not had a sniffle. I feel great : will definitely keep wearing after the pandemic is over in 4 or 5 years . I’d like to see a lawyer making masks mandatory

Germaphobe paranoiac types seem to like them, equating them with banning smoking in public.
What % of people will want them to stick around forever?
The 4% that have been empowered by this crisis.

Evidence? There is no evidence of this, not on paper, not in data. This is just an assumption, a bad hypothesis made by poor experts to rise to dominant positions in the field. A tool to get somewhere their scientific merit never could have gotten them. Sick people spread viruses. What you are saying is not well evidenced nor well studied.

You have a good point, but keep in mind that deaths spike in the winter when flu season hit; that means December. I do think we will likely find out you are right though; conveniently it will be after the election.
You must have been "that kid" in school that nobody wanted to be around. I hope someone slides some peanut butter in your sandwich when you're not looking because you sound like you don't even have a pair of nuts to think critically with and if you did, you couldn't handle it.

I have to wear one while I am coaching. As soon as this goes away or they lift that restriction, off comes the mask.
I have absolutely no fear of this illness but I am required to wear it if I want to coach. So, I do.
Unlike most, I am aware of my mortality. Gone tomorrow or 20 years from now does not matter to me. My goal is to live a quality life the short time I am here.

Clearly Primo Numbero Uno has never been to Asia before. Anyone who has spent more than a layover in an East Asian country is accustom to seeing masks. When I was in Taiwan in 2018 they even sold masks front an center at 7-11. My experience was the same in Japan and Korea. See this article from 2014, long before the current pandemic about Asia's use of masks:

Heck you don't even need to leave the US. Go to any asian supermarket during winter and 10% of the shoppers will have a mask on...
Except that covid rates haven’t gone down. 30k+ new cases daily in USA

If there is no pandemic, why did we have 150k more deaths between Jan 2020->July2020 than died during that same period in 2017? At best you are just stupid and don't understand that death rate has a seasonal component. But it is hard to believe anyone is really that stupid...
Jail anyone who breaks the public mask law. Microchip repeat offenders .

Nobody, Absolutely nobody wants to wear a mask. But, until things are safer you've been asked to help out and do so.
Why do you want to believe in the danger?
Why do you want to believe a mask will protect you? Didn't they tell you the opposite just a few months ago?
Do you dare jump down the rabbit-hole of self-reflection to find out if you're acting on reason or emotion?
I live in Japan. Before COVID, there were 3 times when people would wear a mask willingly. Allergy season, if the wearer is feeling sick (to not spread germs to others), and during flu season. Between flu and allergy season, a lot of people are wearing masks pretty often anyways. A lot of women think masks make their eyes look bigger / better. Black masks became popular in Korea from KPOP idols, and then became popular here in Japan before COVID. I don't think they are going away. It's not a political thing here, it's the polite thing to do to avoid spreading germs around and getting germs.
I don't see what's so difficult about this... wearing a mask is better than getting the flu, just objectively speaking. So keeping your germs to yourself and protecting yourself against getting massive whiffs of flu germs in the air ... the choice is simple, at least for me.
Funny, the only time I got the flu was when I traveled to Hawaii...
