Me: If people mean Y when they say X, then they should just say Y instead and shouldn't be surprised if people believe they actually mean X.
Me: Also, I can't assume that Brad speaks for everyone, so there's no way for me to know if he is actually correct when says people who say X actually mean Y. I would need more people who say X to come out and say they actually mean Y.
My statements are not in any way contradictory.
