Shaheed, who has held a fair whack of age-group records, has also shown a distinct decline over the years. As I said above, his 60's records are in the region of what a good 13-15 year old could do - and he was the best in the world in his age group. (Same as Dan King.) A teenager only 2 years older, of 17 or so, is significantly faster. Yet what we are seeing with Hughes is that he is running longer distances at a level comparable to a very decent 25-35 year old - which is tougher than running middle distance at that level. He is off the charts compared with his middle distance age peers. And you think Shaheed's performances are dubious. At this point, I can't take your arguments seriously.
