Hi, I'm training to run sub-2:30 in the marathon. I have a somewhat stockier body, though. BIG calves. I ran 2:46 last year with minimal training, and want to know if it's possible to lose weight, even if I have very little fat.
Particularly, I'm curious if I can develop lighter leg muscles. Strength training, diet, and strenuous stretching routines (my legs are very tight and always sore) come to mind as possible means of improvement, but not sure what I'm doing, or if it's possible.
Does anyone have expertise in this? Thanks.
