Can we make this front page news? It's a slippery slope and we just gained A LOT of speed with the cutting of a powerhouse Big10 program. Who's to say this won't happen soon elsewhere?? It's likely it will.
So we have two choices:
1. Sit here and let it happen more often in the near future
2. Fight back and make a case for why this is a bad idea at Minnesota but also nationwide.
Contact the Board of Regents and make it known this is not a good move.

There are surely more and less effective arguments to be made here. Where are the Brown people who got that decision reversed??
1. Only D1 men's program in the entire state of Minnesota
2. Diversity of the team and what it brings to the university??
3. How much of a financial impact an entire tuition-paying men's team has on the university as a whole (minus scholarships)
4. Options for trimming budgets (or even cancelling the season!) for a year to help make budget
what else??
