What great people.
As they should. They didn't pay $300 to hear a sermon of Orwellian doublespeak.

What part of linking arms in unity is Orwellian doublespeak?

I think he meant the pledge.

All of it.

The pledge that so many of these "victims" feel when others express the world from where they sit.
You know:
"Those evil people linked arms. That is why I am not more successful in life."
"We pay attention to narratives like the anthem or someone's race to be distracted from important issues."
"Ha-ha, you said pledge when you meant anthem. Now that is important while my healthcare is not."
Sheep with blinders on.

Unity is doublespeak. Got it.
Orwell would laugh at you.

What does that even mean? That's not what a pledge is.
I'm thinking that if you're looking for a self selected population that is NOT going to be OK with a moment of unity you need to
Go to a football game
In the Midwest
On Opening Day
During a pandemic where, apparently only patriots will gather en masse.
In the sciences, we'd call this sampling bias.
Sure it is! A solemn promise or undertaking to guide your life.
And let's be sure to be distracted by the definition or use of the word pledge rather than a leader condoning using our troops as Russian fodder or pre-existing conditions being eliminated from general healthcare.
So this is your way of dancing around admitting that you were trying to say the anthem. It's totes adorbs.

Cool story bro.
I have been watching the NFL since I can remember. I can name every Super Bowl champion, in order, by memory. It's been a great distraction throughout my life. I will not allow them to brow beat me and accept the false assertions that are part of the BLM movement. I will not watch another game, and neither will millions of others.

Chief, if you need a $100,000,000 football player screaming at you that you are privileged, then kudos! Hats off. To others it’s laughable.
A particularity odd assessment of the situation. No one said anything about privilege and certainly not mine.
Players stood in racial unity for a moment and some KC fans didn’t like that.
By the way if you’re going use no yankee as your username you really shouldn’t lick Trump & Kushner boots, it’s a silly look fella.

Bet you wish you’d just allowed Kap and other players to kneel in dignity, but no you had foam at the mouth and abuse them.
Fast forward, here we are:
https://images.app.goo.gl/yvnQRXwhjJWo7pSE8The names and phrases on the helmets are great. It makes a statement without potentially disrespecting the military and the flag. It seems you're implying that these decals are somehow outrageous and egregious to people who felt the kneeling was disrespectful? This is where we should have started and no one would've had a problem.
But they did and clearly as seen here DO have a problem.
Some fans booed when players stood in racial unity.
I have listened to the video several times and it sounds like some boos, but I also notice the noise takes a few seconds in.
Alas, even if there were boos, it was not all. Also, just as the players are free to express themselves so are fans. I would not have boo'ed, but I get that others have the right to express themselves in a non-violent or disruptive manner.
