You pay a lot of money for that view

thats not true. I pay 500 per month for a room and I'm saving lots of money! Then I get access to near perfect year round weather, and amazing running trails everywhere.
Pictures of the sky here:

It's almost 9am now and still dark as sh*t
“Orange sky at morning, runner take warning.
Orange sky at night, runners delight.“
It's orange in Santa Cruz, 75 miles south of the city. It was eerie in the Redwoods (Nisene Marks) this morning.
I woke up to snow after a couple of days of hundred degree heat and fire haze. Have to say, I prefer the snow.
Sounds like something a 1967 hippie high on dope would see.
yes I woke up this morning at 8 and it was dark. I thought wow the days are getting shorter but this is ridiculous. Now it is 11am and it is still dark outside. Not normal dark, but orange. The ground and cars are covered with a thin layer of soot.
I am in the Bay Area.
ran in SF early this morning and thought the days were just naturally getting shorter. was shocked when it was still dark by the end of my run. really eery.
i read that the smoke is super high in the atmosphere so probably better to run as early as possible

High on dope? Sounds like something someone hung up on Herb Elliott would say.

joedirt! Don't let people know we live in denver!
Talk to me when it all burns down and I can buy a house there for under a million bucks. Until then, suck it up buttercups.
The Bay Area was wrecked by tech $$$ douches and I'd be happy for disaster that would allow it to somehow to return to what it once was.
Let it all burn.
Chesapeake Bay?

The bay area will always (in human terms) be an active fault zone. SF and the san Andreas fault are one and the same. That's why the bay exists at all. It's just a waiting game (Many buildings were constructed during a period of lax building codes, because they were rebuilding quickly from a devastating earthquake and fire).
You sure it’s not the fumes from all of the human feces on your sidewalks in that shîthole city of San Francisco?
It's 2:30PM but from the lack of light it appears to be 7:30PM. I left my car at work yesterday and rode my bike in this morning. It was dark when I left but you could see ash floating around, illuminated by my garage light. First time I have used any kind of mask when exercising outdoors. Crazy bad.
Listen to this as you look out your window:

Air quality is actually quite good throughout the bay area. The smoke is well up in the atmosphere. At ground level the air is very clean.
(Don't bother with the mask)
