To me this record (who the heck cared about it before or will care about it again) is not one that would put him over the hump if you were really considering him.

Squabble, squabble, squabble. I am beginning the think almost everyone who posts on this blog are whinny, butt-hurt, fat, armchair captains, that can’t even run a mile.
I am pretty sure Daniel Komen owns both indoor and outdoor 2 M records; I know he does in the 3000 m

Mo Farah holds the indoor 2 Mile. Komen has indoor and outdoor 3000m along with outdoor 2 Mile.
In order for Farah to be considered for GOAT, he either needs get for another world record OR win a 3rd Olympic 10000m.
Despite how much I love Bekele, I'd probably give Farah GOAT status on the spot if he wins gold again in Tokyo. Geb and Bekele tried for 3 10000m Olympic golds and weren't able to (they didn't even medal in their 3rd Olympic 10000m).

Pretty sure it’s his second WR. He also owns the indoor 2 mile record as well.
There is no WR for indoor 2 mile. He has the world best time.

your sad to think farah will have the smallest possbility to become the goat.
Mo should contact the Guinness Records folks asap!

Sorry but no GOAT status on long distance for someone whom 5k PR is 12:53 and 10K PR is 26:46.
I mean maybe if the guy existed PRIOR to Bekele and Geb, given his impressive winning record he would definitely be a contender for GOAT list.
But his 5k and 10k PRs are just too low in comparison to the WR to be considered GOAT.
Or, if his 5k and 10k PR would be sub 12:45 and sub 26:40. I'd also consider him for GOAT statut
Of course Farah isn’t the GOAT now- I said if he set another world record OR got a 3rd Olympic 10000m. What’s so controversial about that? I didn’t say now he’s the GOAT, I said he could be IF (giant IF) he does one of two things.

No Tania he is not a GOAT.

Mo will never be GOAT.
GOAT must have not just dominance and titles, but also REAL World Records.
Also Mo is the most boring dominant champion and did not have superior competition like Haile and Bekele did.
One more observation, Bekele didn’t care much about 5000m titles otherwise he could have won all of them, don’t believe this check his impressive winning Diamond League tittles. Also notice he was running consistently almost all those races sub 13. How many times Mo broke 13? I don’t know but maybe twice.
You guys can’t compare Mo with the Big Two of distance running. Is just disrespectful.

Hey, I'm big-boned, man!
I'll say Hassan is the freaking goat.
I can't admit it, Mo is not the GOAT... give me a real WR.
No.
The hour world record is rather weak, as it is a rarely run event anymore.
Its odd that his other world best is in the 2 mile, also rarely run anymore.
Farah may be able to set four world bests (2 mile, 3 mile, 6 mile and hour on the track) but all these records are at distances rarely officially contested anymore. Even if Farah did this, he would not be the GOAT.
Geb and Bekele excelled in other big races outside of the Olympics. Bekele has many many World XCwins. Geb has many road race wins and set the a World Record in the Marathon twice.
Farah claiming GOAT status would be like Gatlin claiming GOAT sprinter status if he set world best times in the 100 and 220 yard dashes, and because he beat Bolt in the last race they were both in together.
The true value of Farah's hour world record could be measured by how many other super competitive runners will rush out to try to take Farah's hour record away from him.
Still not the GOAT. He doesn't have the fast times. A world record in a rarely run event isn't going to change things.
The track GOAT is Bekele. The marathon GOAT is Kipchoge. Cheptegei may change that in the future, but it'll take time for him to build up the resume to make that argument.
are you stupid?
bekele is easily the goat of the marathon on top of his goat status on the track
hes only not wr holder because they cheated him out of his time at berlin last year
I'd actually like to know how many meters Kamworor had walked in the 1:59 after his 1/2. It's quite possible even WALKING, Kamworor covered more than Farah's sad assed distance.
Is there a video of the aftermath? sleuths on LR could probably figure this out and take the record from Mo's slimey hands.

Top 100 HM performance is very good indeed. I know couldn't do that myself. I for one am impressed
