People might be tired of you too but unlike you this guy has made large contributions to society.
WTF? Herd immunity is literally the only strategy, whether by vaccine or live transmission.
Just for the record, he's better at what he does than you will ever be at ANYTHING in your life. Plus a life dedicated to public service to boot. No one cares about how tired you or anyone else is, and certainly not him. He doesn't need to be popular to do or hold his job

Such as? Genuine question. While he seems like a nice guy and a 4:01 marathoner, I don't know what he or the large bureaucracy he's led has contributed to society.

Once people get to start telling others what to do they really enjoy it and want to keep on doing it. This is all about control. Control is being issued through a message if you do not comply you are being selfish and endangering others. A huge portion of the public is starting to see the BS but people are scared of being torn down by the COVID mob.

Just to play it back to you and make sure we all understand. You are claiming that health official's recommendations during the pandemic are mainly about a power trip?

We are by definition always in a pandemic. There is always a prevalent disease circulating. So to be fully honest I think we should listen to his recommendations then take them into account with a whole group of other scientists and health officials and make a full decision. Has Fauci evaluated the uptick in deaths due to elderly not seeking medical care. Has he evaluated the harm to the economy and the life of loss associated with businesses going under and rising unemployment? Does he understand how the federal spending related to the pandemic packages will make the federal deficit that much more draining on our tax dollars and cause inflation? Has he evaluated how the stress people are feeling during this contributing to civil unrest? Has he evaluated the harm to the education system by the lack of in-classroom learning?
I think there are plenty of things Fauci doesn't have a clue about that play a big role in our lives besides COVID. I think it time for us to start evaluating what people who are experts in the other areas have to say.
So he is saying that we need to keep it around forever? That is a strange strategy.
He doesn't need to understand any of that, the scientist don't set policy. They simply issue recommendations on their area of expertise. It's up to others to define policy.
Are you all dumb, trolls, or right wing bots? If we allowed the US to reach herd immunity we'd have two million deaths from COVID. Anyone who isn't a sociopath can see that this is not a tenable solution.
There is nothing controversial about Fauci's statement.

Do you believe scientific research has ever been corrupted for bribery or agenda?

If you don't understand what I mean then it's not worth explaining.

+1 bro
We get it in boulder bro except fo college students bro
The corona nazis need to have it explained to them that Fauci isn't a specialist on coronaviruses, or even an epidemiologist, and that there are plenty of specialists who have contradicted him on this and everything else he says.

February 2020 called. It wants its wildly speculative predictions back, from when not much was known about coronavirus.
If 2 million deaths in U.S. (0.6% of population) was correct number to reach herd immunity then Sweden would have topped out at 60,000+ instead of 5,820.
