No Tim, but Grice, Gomez, Debjani, etc.
Will it be a sit and kick? Or does Jakob try to go for a PR and new ER?
I say either a 3:33.56 win or a 3:29.08 win.

Dibs on 3:31.32
In 1981, races with one star would go for records. Nowadays, probably slow sit and kick practice for him.
Without Tim there to do everything for him, no, I don't think he will run under 3:30.

Will they have wavelight?
Why is Timmy ducking him? Doesn't feel 100% and doesn't want to risk losing to young gun?
Lololol
3:29.67, the pacers are there for only him

Or do the meet organizers/Team Ingrebridsten want him to pick up an unopposed win? Is it really probable that every potential legitimate competitor to Jakob in Europe doesn't want to race in this meeting (e.g. Wightman, Kejelcha, Cheruiyot)?

Yup

Agreed. I don't see him going sub-3:30 without someone to chase unless the rabbits do a very, very good job.
Like, 56-1:52-2:20 through 1K and then he grinds out a 1:09 last 500.

Kejelcha?? If Kejelcha is a legitimate competitor to Jakob then Grice and Gomez are as well. Grice probably more so than Kejelcha. Grice & Gomez are both in this race.
Nope. 3:33.17 on the downside of his peaking form.
Jacob has run 3:28-3:31 seven times in his young career, and he's still a teenager. His next fastest time after that I'm pretty sure is 3:36, which is the sort of time he reserves for qualifying rounds, Norwegian indoor champs, etc. So when he sets out to run fast, he does.
Gonna predict 3:29.4
Grice who has run 3:34 and then 3:41.
Kejelcha who beat him soundly in Monaco and was clear of Gomez there, too despite a tough buildup with all that is going on in Ethiopia.
Yes I’d roll with Kejelcha over those two randos.

I’m not 100% positive (and I’m too lazy to look it up); but I think Grice has a faster 1500 pr than Kejelcha.
3:32.55
So Wightman has recently run a massive 3 seconds faster than Kejelcha and Kejelcha has run 0.3 seconds faster than Gomez but somehow Kejelcha and Wightman are in the same class and Gomez is at a lower class??

So what? Grice couldn’t even make the British Worlds team last year. Kejelcha’s indoor mile is better than Grice’s one-off. Grice has been uncompetitive this season, an old PB that he hasn’t replicated is pretty irrelevant...

RENATO can you talk about the preparation of Emile Cairess 2:06
