On Running Things Considered, they mentioned that Ollie Hoare, Sam Parsons, and Joe Klecker all have Teslas. Where are they getting this money from? Seems unreasonable to think they have 6 figure salaries that justify the cost of a Tesla.

Teslas are great, very smooth and powerful roll
Klecker’s parents are financially well off.
A model 3 is 38k. That's pretty average for a new car.

Model 3 is about $39k out the door, but when compared to a $25k Camry LE, the five year average cost of ownership (including resale value) breaks down to $0.46/mile for the Tesla vs $0.49/mile for the Camry.
A lot of time parents are giving their children money. Other times these athletes are making some money and spending it all. Saving nothing for the future. I pity the fool with a nice car and car payment.
I get that Model 3s are 'reasonably' priced compared to other mid level cars, but how many people making 60k~80k/year (estimate for Klecker, Parsons, Hoare) are spending 40k on a car? Money from mom and dad makes most sense to me.
My friend's grandparents are giving her inheritance now for a down payment on a house instead of her waiting until later when they croak.
It could be this, or kids just not learning how to move on up the hard way.
Car payments are for midwits

$30k millionaires...they’re everywhere...and the main population to struggle when they miss a paycheck.
They live in group houses and have $2k monthly spending money. Pretty easy to have $750 for a carpayment.

Yes. And pretty sure they have no college loan payments.
Half of Norway have them now, which is kind of you got hoaxed Norway, as the car fall apart if you look hard at it, like all American cars I have ever heard of, why do people even consider buying cars from the US when part of the bargain is: Buy it and when guarantee is out I will repair it for a massive amount of money.

Why don’t you buy Norwegian cars then?

Very good point!
I did try a French car once, but I think the French brought the wecannotbuildpropercars to the US (maybe cross the border from Quebec), so I regreted that badly, at this time (in the -70ties) I started to read all analyzes about the durability of cars, and it very soon turned out that the US, Britain, France and Italy had no clue at all, and this trend still apply.

You seem to complain quite a lot on this forum. Again I ask you, why don’t you buy Norwegian cars?
