Saw the other day a runner converging on a lady (with a mask) who was flapping her arms wide while he was running at the edge and giving her a high-five . The path must have been four/five meters wide. Hilarious.
The school I work for has a nice trail system on campus the public can use. For safety they put hand sanitizer at the entrance and exit of the trails.
NYS fully allows club sports to practice, so kids from many counties come together and practice together a few times a week. School sports are not allowed to practice though despite everyone on the team being from the same area. You would think to decrease spread it would be the opposite but that is not NYS logic.
When the government puts restrictions, rules, laws, and practices in place for "your safety and the health and safety of the public" what can they NOT do?
That is why I am suspicious of all the restrictions. There is virtually nothing that they cannot justify under the guise of "public safety." From mass incarceration, confiscation of money and property, to out right violence, all of that could be justified and the masses would go right along with it.

My silliest list:
1. One way running/walking around outdoor parks (e.g., must go clockwise around this pond).
2. One way aisles in grocery stores.
3. Wearing a mask outdoors, especially if you're doing the "pulling your mask up for 2 seconds to go by somebody then pulling it down again" thing.
I haven't seen any -- I trust any safety measure is designed to keep me & the people around me safe. I try to do my best to follow guidelines put out by the CDC and other government officials.
From my golf experience this Sunday:
1. The golf shop had a long, 6 foot cardboard box hanging off the side of the counter. I dropped my credit card in it, the cashier tilted the box towards her, caught the card, ran the transaction, dropped the card back in the box, and slid it back towards me.
2. Same shop wouldn't rent out clubs. But they allowed people to drive their carts.
3. You could not share a cart or clubs unless you were a blood relative and lived in the same household.
Also doing morning COVID check-ins for school where I'm asked the same standard questions about COVID that are used elsewhere.
AFL, Soccer, NBA all sweating and breathing upon one another for 60 minutes, yet no high fives. To risky.
Club / Travel soccer Zero social distancing. Club travel baseball softball. Packed dugouts, next to one another sitting in chairs despite bleachers closed off with 6 ft rules. Softball parents are the trifecta for COVID risk with obesity, zero exercise, smoking and then golf (highest at risk population are most noteably those riding in a cart - NOT 6 ft. apart.
Time to move on.
Worst thing:
Everybody having to pull a mask down while running through the woods. I run in a 4000 acre wooded park, and usually see 10-20 people total running through the trails yet everybody thinks they need to mask up for a pass by. Ridiculous in my opinion since I be sure to pass with at least a 6' distance.
Best thing: Massachusetts allows take out alcoholic beverages from restaurants. I've only done this once, but pretty cool!

Exactly. It’s a dry run for the leftists. They will be coming after your guns, your 401k’s, your ability to speak out against the leftist dogma ... it’s all coming soon.

All with a republican controlled government too!
Dang - the dems must be REALLY REALLY powerful.
What’s it like being afraid all the time?
Them: “Wear a mask”
You: “MASS INCARCERATION IS COMING FROM THE DEMS”
You guys crack me up sometimes.
I can only pick one rule?
I'm not allowed to work in my private office at my university and there isn't a scheduled date for when I'll be allowed to, but starting on August 8th I'll be able to eat and drink inside the school's restaurants and bars with up to 4 other people in the same group.

And they have them talking about taking guns which has never been a real thing, while the GOP takes their health care, social security, and national lands.
This must be what Trump meant years ago when he was a democrat and said if he ever ran for office he would do so as a republican because they were soooo easy to fool. Actually he said because they were so dumb, but why pile on.
Removal of hoops and backboards from town playground basketball courts in Wareham, Massachusetts.
Can't get more idiotic than that.

My point was that using "better safe than sorry!" as a guiding principal is fundamentally illogical. You can always get safer, and nearly all restrictions on freedom stem from the pursuit of ever-increasing safety.
Game, set and match.
Still wondering why people are allowed to drive, considering all the additional lives lost...
"If masks work why do businesses need to be closed?
If they don't work why are we forced to wear them?"
By far, the majority of them as backed up by the experts (even Fauchi).
Democrats are disgusting pieces of trash.
