8:30 minutes to tell a 30 second story.
This guy is obnoxious and painful to listen to. Get to the point already.
Guys like this used to actually go to prison back in the 1980s for their crimes.
Not anymore.
Now they run America.
Wake up sheeple! Look into the face of our true enemy.
Guys like this used to have streets and bridges named after them, Rockefeller, Astor, Carnegie, Vanderbilt. Now they are a punch line on a message board.
Icahn = Rockefeller or Carnegie? Hahahaaahahaha that’s funny. And Trump is TR.
Name one real contribution this man has made to the United States, aside from a hard to get to track.
Medical school
He said real contribution, not a disaster.
Why do these guys need to be such arrogant jerks? He takes a long time to tell this "funny" story about firing a slew of people like its a light hearted anecdote. People suffered uncertainty, doubt, embarrassment, and their may have been some personal bankruptcies, divorces, or suicides as a result.
Why not tell a more succinct tale like, "The business was plagued with crushing overhead costs. After doing an exhaustive analysis, I had the very sad but necessary task of laying of 12 floors worth of hard working people and selling off the space that they worked in. It's the part of business that I hate but, it had to be done to save the organization's future."
I get that business leaders have to do these things but, show a bit of humility and compassion in public.
I love his NY accent/lingo
graph = "grayph"
"razzle-dazzle"

He is a psychopath.
Yawn.
After reading Hillbilly Elegy I found the book Glass House, a similar story on an Ohio city. Anchor Hocking Glass factory employed around 5000 in the town of 30k. According to the book, at one point Icahn went to the company and told them he would buy 51% of the stock, close the factory, and gut the town. Unless....they paid him $3 million. They complied, he took the cash and ran. Basically extorsion.
Wonderful human being!
Why did he hire them in the first place?

Shockingly hard to get to...no cabbie wants to take you there.
Carl Icahn is a first rate a hole. There is a special place in hell for him with all of the lives he has ruined. Basically a greedy animal.

I teared up a little hearing this fantastic story of Icahn working hard to make American companies more efficient. Thank you. We don't derserve Icahn.

Nah, he just gave an existing school a bunch of money and they slapped his name on the building because he is a narcissist.
I don't understand why people are hating on him, when he's just playing the game that everyone in the US supports.
This is capitalism. This is part of the game. Capitalism is what allows you to have nice stuff like an iPhone, computer, and all commodities. But the reverse side, is that you will always have those guys who do that kind of stuff.
I'm not for socialism in any way btw, I think it's way worse . But I'm just saying you shouldn't hate on this guy, when you support what "makes" this guy possible.
