Rand Paul mobbed last night because he doesn't think like BLM.
Cops will continue to shoot people, and unfortunately, some will be African Americans This can't change overnight.
So my question; how does this end? Democrats don't care about it. Repubs might be taking advantage of it, and therefore do not want it to end anytime soon.
How does this end??
I am starting to see some encouraging thing in the past 24 hrs about talk about actually pushing for change of specific legislature and laws that would help the situation. What has been lacking this whole time is a protest without a clear defined goal accomplishes nothing. You can talk to 10 protesters and get 10 different answers on what they want other than they're pissed off at the system. If they start setting specific policy changes that can make a difference then I think that could start things in a positive direction. These statements protestors are pushing like end police butality, or social inequality, or racism all sound wonderful. The problem is just saying you want to end them doesn't accomplish anything, we've been dealing with them for centuries, a defined plan is needed. I think I've seen some starts towards that direction which in the aftermath of the George Floyd killing it seemed like a lot angry lashing out without any clarity or direction.
But then again I turned on ESPN this morning and saw the "woke" tearing Bruce Arians a new one and trying to turn him into Drew Brees 2.0 for something that didn't fit in with their message. If we devolve back into this forced compliance message where you tell me exactly how it needs to be based on your perception of things and there is 0 room for discussion then things will roll backwards again. A lot of people across the country want to see change, but you can't alienate the people you need to work with in order to make that happen.
