Welcome back to Los Angeles, guys.

I guess the Rams, Chargers, and Raiders will be next stop playing.

Lol no.
The Bucks were actually the first team to protest. Good, if that’s what it takes then so be it. I hope it makes you mad too ☺️
These are serious times. Black people are not suppose to act like a seal at the zoo placing a ball in hoop for White people's enjoyment. Do you see Palestinian Arabs placing a ball in hoop for enjoyment of White Jews?
I said it during the early stages of all these leagues being shut down due to the Covid pandemic: We don't NEED these sports to return. We WANT them to return. They think we NEED them. We don't.
These professional sports players/teams. Good on them for sticking up for a cause they believe in! They also have an inflated sense of worth. A vast majority of Americans don't really give a crap whether they are playing or not.

Professional sports matter to President Trump. Professional sports are like religion in many ways. Professional sports pacify the masses.
Los Angeles always leads the way

Yes but which team will start rioting first, is the question. These arenas are gonna be on fire before long.
Would they still protest/refuse to play if they weren't still going to be paid? I don't think so. It's easy to take a stand when there's no direct impact to your lifestyle.
A sports boycott hurts Hollywood TV industry the hardest with millions of jobs in Hollywood based for remote production, commercials, post production, talent, and technology for the Olympics, World Cup, Super Bowl, NBA Champs, World Series, etc.
Get in the food line, dude!
This may end up being the most effective form of protest. No sports means very little to no entertainment/vicarious living for the vast majority of working class people. It starts in the NBA and starts working its way into the NFL and NCAA football. No weekends of wall-to-wall football give people time to think about their lives and their circumstances. That's not a good thing for the wealthy and the powerful as sports provides the commons with a distraction. They forget about low pay and being put upon, going from "Take this job and shove it!" on Friday afternoon to "Gotta' work hard this week to afford beer and NFL Sunday Ticket this weekend!". Now they get two days each weekend to think about how they are getting conned and used by their corporate masters, politicians, and religious leaders.
Setting up some reasonable national police reforms around use of force, racial profiling, and effective neighborhood policing plus requiring future cops to be college trained and educated would satisfy 98% of what protesters are asking for but, keep on digging those heels in to protect legalized intimidation and people that should not have been allowed to become cops in the first place.
It seems misguided because the "problem people" are probably not watching the NBA anyway, and the message will be totally lost.
The NBA deleting itself would be the first positive development of the riots.

According to Sports Illustrated, an astonishing 60 percent of former NBA players become bankrupt within 5 years of their retirement. I hope these idiots all die broke!
No sports is a bad thing for minorities. Blacks earn much more than whites from sports. And if no sports to take up time of fans, it provides more time for hard working people to earn more and it provides more tine for unemployed people to get in more trouble.

Interesting take. So Marx was wrong - it's actually sports that is the opiate for the people, not religion.
I've noticed your types (I assume you are a BLM-type liberal hoping for a cultural revolution to end America as we know it - I apologize if I'm wrong) have been timid to take on religion, especially Christianity, during all this BLM era fame. Scared to take it on despite all the clear references to slavery.
LeBron has a feeling his team won’t win anyway, so it’s better to cancel the postseason.
Good riddance. As an employer, if an employee doesn't show up for work, you fire them. Taking a day off without notification because some stranger you never met gets shot because they take a weapon to a fight, fight with and don't comply with the cops and threaten to get a gun, is not a valid excuse for missing work. These events are exceedingly rare for a country of 330 million, and it is difficult to make a judgement based upon a 5 second video snippet. I'm sure there are others willing to work for the millions these guys are getting paid. The NBA is unwatchable.

You are a real smart businessman. Fire the Black players. Have a league of all White basketball players. Go ahead. That is what the N.B.A. was like 65 years ago. Good luck getting a tv network to show the games.
