Did Seth get the Boulder Skyline traverse FKT? Looks like he did on Strava.
On to Europe!

Holy smokes!!! Someone got an FKT! Stop the presses! That is the most newsworthy thing I’ve ever heard! I would love to watch a YouTube video about this stupid accomplishment rather than, say, doing something actually meaningful.

I hope he keeps the FKT and gets to participate in the Golden Trail Championships. He sometimes posts some incredible footage in his daily vlog, and I think he would be a great ambassador for the event if his vlog posted up info/footage of his participation in it (besides the fact that he currently is one of the very top mountain CLIMBERS in the world right now).

Of course, by CLIMBER, I'm referring to runners that go vertical, rather than the other type of mountain climbers that hang off cliffs, etc.
So I checked out the fkt website and at first Seth looked like he took the top spot this am. But I looked just now and they changed it from unsupported to self supported. Will this change his chances on going to Europe? Does it even matter?

Without trying to find out the difference is, maybe someone here can tell us what self-supported versus unsupported means? Maybe it has something to do with him stashing bottles along the way (per his youtube vlog today).

Interesting....someone today accuses me of astroturfing, when I'm obviously, per my posts, beholden to no particular shoe company....and then my name "it is, what it is" is stolen. IMO, the most astroturfing entity on this board (probably including their insider moderators) are affiliated with a company that starts with the letter N. Based on all of their shenanigans in the past, it would not be outside their MO to steal my "it is, what it is" handle.
I'm not a fan of virtual races and FKT's, but a least Seth is trying to get into real races. I think Sage is worried Seth is outperforming him in these days of the contagion.

Okay, after further investigation, I conclude Seth is the current leader for the Colorado segment. Per the Golden Trail Series site:
A golden segment (GS) is a loop timed on an application with a digital ranking. Find all of them in our strava club STRAVA
https://www.goldentrailseries.com/gtwc-rules/Per Strava:
https://www.strava.com/clubs/684249/posts/10544994.
Seth did a 'self-supported' run (he stashed bottles), per the FKT site:
https://fastestknowntime.com/fkt-guidelinesBut that site says: To get a Self-Supported FKT you also have to beat the fastest Unsupported time., which Seth did, so that is evidently why Seth is indeed heading the Colorado Segment's STRAVA list:
https://www.strava.com/segments/24151552Looks like it's going to be goat mountain runner Kilian Jornet vs goat YouTuber mountain runner Seth DeMoor in the Azores!

This is too true. I'm concerned Sage might not get his next Hoka contract. Race results down, but more importantly for Hoka, his viewership as really dropped over the last few years. He's taken an odd path, but wish him the best.
Seth will not be going to the Azores. No way they let in Americans. Though I think it would be hilarious for him to go with loose mask usage and get fined heavily. I would enjoy that.

Plus, Joe Gray just beat his BST FKT by 6 minutes. In his Strava, Joe talks about being out of shape and also mentions that Sage showed him some of the way as he had never been out there before.
