I just watched Seth's prerace video on youtube. It looks like he is looking to hit the turnaround in about 2:14:00.
That was a great video, to get behind the scenes strategy, etc. But were you 'reading between the lines'? Because I don't think he gave a predicted ascent time, no?
That time does sound about right to contend, because Wacker might be faster on the downhill.
Yes. I was reading between the lines because he emphasized it was a "training run" that was only two minutes slower than his time in the Ascent race last year.
Sage decided to not run the race this because he wanted to go camping and canoodling with Coach Sandy.
If he can descend in <1:26, then he might break 3:40.

This is good to feed to have. If anyone decides to push that lady off the summit we’ll have hard video evidence.

Just because you’re a professional runner doesn’t mean you should be expected to race

If Seth is able to win he will be looking for sponsorship from the following Bill Gates recommended
Covid vaccine companies: Moderna, AstraZeneca and Johnson & Johnson
Or lululemon. He is wearing these shorts in the race:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0JDemNXlTTgTimes will be a little slower this year. All participants will have to take a Cover test when they reach the summit and will only be allowed to proceed back down the mountain unless they test negative. Those testing positive must quarantine for 14 days at the summit. Expect some final results not until second week of September.
correction = Covid test
side note: The Summit Youtube chat is much more lively than this thread, but I don't have a Youtube account nor am I one of Seth's 99.4K subscribers.
The London 'Thon thread should be more fun than this.
They are saying 25yr-old Seth Ruling is in the lead. He's won the JFK 50 per Ultrasignup. His athlinks results indicate he's done Ironman, and went 4:32 at the Magnum Mile last year.
Seth is 35.
The thread is quiet because one of the boards lamest posters keeps spamming it.
Greg is sleeping in this morning. He had a rough week.
They are already clapping for runners at the top as they ascend?
SETH DEMOOR HIT THE SUMM IT IN 2:10XX.
BUTTERIN' THE BREAD!!!
Seth first to summit, but didn't take cover test. May be DQ'd.
SJD in first at the top. I think it is 2:09:15ish. Clock was 2:10:15, but he started 58 secs after the women.

Wow! I forgot about that. He may have matched Kilian Jornet's ascent time from last year's PPM!
