Yo bro...Do real runners eat clif bars or are they just made for rock climbers and soccer players to eat? Because they make me have to take a dump during a run every time I eat them so they can’t possibly be designed for a runners’ digestive system

A shrink probably.
No, they are made for Triathletes also.
Jim Walsmey eats them.
I definitely eat them on trail runs, but I also focus on chewing them up pretty well, and taking down a lot of water. I find if I don't drink enough water, I run into digestion problems with gels. I think the sugar can't get properly digested and transported into the body without water. In the past, when I didn't drink enough water with gels, I transitioned from burping to gurgling stomach to shtting my pants. And that's with gels, which are easy to digest. I imagine problems would be worse with clif bars.
You might have tendencies towards IBS or some other intolerance, goodle FODMAP diet, its' not to loose weight, it's to reduce gas and intestinal upset.
Some people have trouble with pea protein, there used to be soy, but i think they mostly got rid of it.
As for eating the bars, i only used them for long road rides or long slow trail runs. Road running was too quick/harsh for me, used only gels for road running.
I eat them as yummy snacks and as a portable, compact calorie source on hiking/backpacking trips, but not right before or during runs. I can't tolerate eating anything right before or during a run.
Joe eats them
Anything you eat right before a run won't sit well. I eat them after I run when I'm not at home for a breakfast. They are cheap, decent tasting, have protein, and go well with a banana. A banana and clif bar to me is a easy, cheap, portable, and somewhat nutritious breakfast.
Nobody eats Clif bars. It's just a lump of marketing and brown rice syrup. Eat actual food if you possibly can.
Dude brah no no no. You want power then eat Powerbars, you wanna cliff then eat a Cliffbar.
