If you know he has had relationships with underage girls in the past I seriously urge you to speak to the authorities. He needs to be held accountable for what he is done. Especially since many people think this may just be a “mental break” or something. If you know this has been going on for that long say something it could make a big difference in his case
Was he married with kids?
Anyone else feel like the only safe guys are guys who are married with kids of a similar age or older than they are coaching
Even then I would be more comfortable that my daughters were coached by women then men but if it has to be men those would be the only ones that I would be at all comfortable with
Let's face it it's not healthy for single men to be around teenage girls alone in compromising or potentially compromising situations
If a guy has a wife and he has kids the same age then I think it is much safer but like I said would still prefer women coaches to coach girls and young women and even college-age girls
Just curious, cuz I know no situation is perfect but like I said much more comfortable with women coaching girls and young ladies

It takes things like proof to get someone. I am not a victim, nor have I seen him rape a girl. That doesn't mean he hasn't done it. He's got a few that are now young women that are still defending him saying he was a great coach and all that. I guess they don't realize he was grooming them much like he started doing to this girl when she was 13.
Yes he is still married with small kids. His wife must be an idiot.
Rios is a master at manipulation and if anyone was defending him they are probably still suffering the consequences of his emotional abuse.
Why the need to insult his wife? She's probably depressed and heartbroken finding this out about the father of her children.
She is sticking with him and trying to get people to testify on his behalf.
ah well that sucks

Trust me you don’t want to stand up for this guy.
I’m not standing up for this guy because I actually don’t know him but I’m just saying let due process take its course. This is because sometimes false accusations have ruined peoples lives.
I also AM NOT STANDING UP for him.
But, this is solicitation, not just an accusation. It's the false accusations that are suspect.
Perfect example: Guy coached a HS team in the 70's 80's and 90's. Was close to retirement. Suddenly a former student, in therapy reveals that he sexually assaulted her ( how it got out from therapy I don't know) I just remember hearing his name on the news, and BAM! he was fired, soon divorced, and neighbors asked him to move... the whole 9 yards. Then years later after his life is ruined, the same girl is in AA, and stands up and admits she made the whole thing up. Now, how does this guy get his pension, marriage and 30+ years as a teacher and coach back?
answer: he doesn't
This is the ONLY reason, I am waiting to hear more on this. (I know it's apples to oranges) But, I became somewhat jaded after seeing this first-handed.
Wow, you're not an a-hole at all. You literally have to pass some conjugal test to be permitted to work with adolescents? Get tf outta here.
They don’t raise your bail to half a million if you are innocent. Listen to his attorney read the interview and see if you think he’s innocent
He will probably plead guilty. They got him saying he did it in text messages
where can you find this? The video linked in the thread is private
I agree everyone deserves their day in court and agree there are cases of false accusations. I watched the hearing and during it was stated this particular defendant has already admitted to inappropriate touching. This isn't a situation of false accusations when the accused admits a wrong-doing.

You are giving him way to much credit. The truth about Aaron Rios is that he's just not that bright. If you have ever spent 5 minutes talking to him about anything other than running, you would see that he's a complete moron. He doesn't understand simple concepts, he knows nothing about current events and much less about history. A conversation with him leaves you wondering who ties his shoes for him. I'm not trying to be mean and pile on the guy, but I'm dead serious, he seriously doesn't know any better and didn't see anything wrong with what he was doing. He never followed any rules because he never read the rules.
The charges sound way worse than they are. He didn't physically restrain anyone, the charge applies because of his position of influence and control. The worst charge he's facing is the one for penetration of a 14 or 15 year old. He's going to prison for that one for a long time even if he does make a deal, and he better make one or he's toast.
All of this sounds pretty accurate.
The charges say that he put the girl in a bear hug while on a run and wouldn't let her out before sliding his fingers down the front of her shorts and into her privates. He then did the same to her backside. So yes he did restrain her.

Yeah, that's not good, but they are arguing that the restraint is that she felt she could not say or do anything, not because of physical restraint, but because he was her coach. Yeah I get it, he's a sick puppy, but I say more idiot that actual pedophile. He's lucky to be breathing, if it was my kid I'd be the one in jail and yes, my daughter ran for him.
My daughter ran for him too. I am right there with you. I would hurt that small man.
The defendant made many of the girls on that team afraid of him because he was their coach and in a position of power. Have heard some of his top girls filed complaints (nonphysical) regarding his behavior

If he really did this, he will face a stiff penalty but I’m not sure what it is. Further, going by what he did, I can start to believe the accusation that the coach is really low in the neurons department.
Perhaps there are some mitigating circumstances. I am baffled by what caused this meltdown because he’s been coaching for over 15 years without incident up till now. Does he have a medical condition which might lead him to perform imprudent acts? Even though what he did was reprehensible, one feels sorry for the man because he has damaged his life and that of his family, including his wife and children. Really a tragic affair.
