There is an argument to be made that with so few high-level competitions the level of specialization can really be improved this season. Not sure I believe it, but its possible.

I dont think this has to do with Covid. He had ran ridiculously fast on the roads last year.
No, you didn't. He's been headed this directions for years, and clearly showed the ability last year with his road 5k and 10k records. If Covid gave him anything, its the ability to train specifically for this goal, uninterrupted by racing obligations. Its the same reason all the bowerman and bosshart groups are running great too.
It’s almost like an Olympic year.
Preparing for one race, rather than 9 months of racing, will lead to faster times --this is common sense.
It's terribly difficult to PR when you run an indoor season and then hop over to the European circuit. Which is why Hoppel's PR isn't all that shocking.

No. He hasn't. His 12:50s PRs, while great, are no indication of 12:35 potential. Th performance was just as dirty as KB's, Geb's, and Komen's

What are some of the other WR's are you foreseeing? The men's shot is one that they are getting close to. PV as well, although already broken indoors. The 10,000 now, maybe.
Tell me what's testing like in Uganda? When WADA visits Uganda how obvious is it?

I'm sure exposure to the virus has stimulated their immune system thereby producing a training effect akin to altitude training...and dehydration ;-)
