Utter bullshit...... what's the point anymore. 22 second Pb, he has broken the unbreakable Bekele record and just nonchalantly stopped his watch at the end.
Give me a break
Waaah! Waaaah! Waaaaaaah!

I love how you only jump to doping after your first prediction made you look like an idiot.
I've been jumping to doping since about 1996 when it became clear there was something going on. My original prediction was that there was no way a microdoser could break this world record, and that there was no way four months of non-existent doping protocol would allow a microdoser enough time to consume enough EPO to break a World Record as dopes as 12:37.
I guess you're right. I look like an idiot.
Nothing has ever been done about the Jama Aden group when they were caught red handed. Dibaba's mega doped WR stands. So does Ayana's.
Or on this side of the pond. Alberto is serving a four year doping ban, and yet his athletes run world beater times a rake up medals with no repercussions. No we just pretend they're "Pete Julian's group."
Doping ruined this sport long ago. Its been plagued by EPO the entire 25 years I've been paying attention. I don't know why I continued to be surprised by these records and the 17 year old fan boys who think they're watching something fresh and exciting. This is nothing new. Just another doped world record in a long lineage of dopes world records.
And on top of everything else, it was run in Monaco...
Then it sounds like you should have quit watching the sport in '97.
Why are you even here? Either try and enjoy it as much you can while there's still a tiny bit of money keep it afloat or find a better hobby. Might I recommend betting on the SEC football Covid festival?
At 10:41 - Coe putting his mask on for the camera.
monaco track is short convince me otherwise
Bekele's 10000m wr is now on borrowed time. All it will take is a setup race in cool weather next month, but they'll need some fast pacers to set him up even through the halfway point. Get him there in 13:10 and that'll be enough for Cheptegei.
Is sub 26 possible? Surely sub 26:10 is a given..
Just curious are there new nike track shoes that incorporate the foam or carbon plate?
It seems that miraculous running genetics is moving from Kenya to Uganda...
Oh, no. I was joking, of course. Everybody must have taken the chance and load himself with drugs during the unique coronavirus holidays.
Bekele goes home devastated!
I think he could have EASILY ran sub 12:30min, but it was more prudent to reach a new WR, than trying to reach too high and then burn out, and not even get the WR.

I think he can take any WRs from 3K-HM (excluding steeperchase obviously) easily. Not sure about the marathon, as it's a different beast.
who cares tbh. i've gave up on pro running years ago. why is he now the new 5000 WR holder?
a) because of his new spikes
b) because of lack of drug tesitng due to covid 19
c) because he has better genetics than bekele
none of them have anything to do with hard work, dedication, or a test of will. running is rigged and unfair. end of story.
Joshua is more resistant than Kenenisa, at the time Kenenisa ran his WRs. Already two years ago, Cheptegei bettered the WR of 15 km on road (41'05"), something Kenenisa couldn't do in 2004.
Cheptegei always was able to run with the max mental concentration when was alone, and this is one of the most important qualities when we speak about WRs, because athletes with this goal needs, always, run a big part of the race alone.
It's not a risk to see Joshua as new WR holder in 10000m (Kenenisa NEVER really prepared that event, running the 25 laps with the preparation for 5000m), with some possibility to be the first athletes running under 26', and, in 3 years time, as new king of HM well under 58'.
If he will move to Marathon after 2025, he can be the athlete running well under 2 hr in official competition. He's really the new king of long distances, congrats to him, his management (Global) and his coach.

I really began asking myself that after the Aden group got away without even a hint of a slap on the wrist.
And the 2019 World Championships was really just a pharmaceutical commercial. It was as rife with blatant doping as I ever remember seeing, and I said that was the end of it for me.
Old habits die hard I guess. You give yourself to this sport, and as much as you hate to see a mockery made of it, or especially of people turning a blind eye to obvious cheating, its hard to move on. I tell myself there's no chance in hell that I'm watching the upcoming Olympics...but I'm sure I will. And I'm sure I'll be disgusted.
I still mostly have faith in the NCAA championships. There's dopers in there too no doubt, but as a whole, its quality, clean, amateur competition. Maybe I'll just focus on that, if the NCAA doesn't cut it altogether with covid as an excuse.
Bottom line...enjoy what you're watching, or not, it doesn't matter to me, but just know that what you saw today was a synthetic performance. And so was Bekele's WR. And so were Geb's. And we've know it the whole time, and never done anything about it.

You might want to check yourselves before you wreck yourselves. He ran 12:51 on the ROAD in February pre-COVID. He also won World Cross.

LOL 3k easily?
Bekele El Gerrouj and others have tried but no one got even close to Komen.
Cheptegei does not have the speed for 3K WR.
10000, 10k and HM should be easy now for him however.
12:51, wearing the nike cheaterflies. There is no doubt he is supremely talented, but supremely talented and 12:35 are two different things.
