Does Strava negatively impact your training?
If so delete. If your life is worse off after deleting you can always add back.
I don't think it negatively impacts my training. i'm fairly happy with how things are going but i find myself being overly concerned with what other people are doing and comparing myself to them good or bad.
Even though i know nobody cares.
It’s crossed my mind to delete it on numerous occasions. Mainly because I can get into the habit of running too quick because others will see the run. Stupid I know but lots of people can feel like this about it.
To original poster:
You make up your own mind on Strava.
But you may want to re-think the title of your thread.

I got sick of seeing that other people were doing more than me (which made me jealous), or worrying about segments, so about a year and a half ago I created a new pseudonymous account. None of my activities are public, and other than my brother, I don't have any followers or follow anyone .
Now, I have the benefit of Strava for keeping a record of my activities, without any of the social media aspects, segments, etc. (all of which have some effect on my behavior, whether I'd like to admit it or not).
Win win.

How about just stop being a little b**** about it? Even less people care about you leaving strava than care about your recent uploads. No one cares about your notebook either. Race day counts.
3, 2, 1, shut the door on your way out.

This. I recently deleted Strava as well because I was too affected by what others were doing. When I looked back 7~9yrs ago when everything was logged on Garmin Connect and I had no idea what others were doing, I was much happier as a runner. And much better as a runner.
I really don't know anything about Strava.
Do you runs have to be public knowledge when using it or is their a privacy mode?
I enjoy having my easy runs be slower than most of my strava connections. It’s funny when I beat all their race times. Also having a coach keeps me from just running wild on workouts, I just do what is prescribed.
