After trying the Tempo Next%, I think I can tell that the Alphaflys are not for me.
I am a smaller runner (5'7" and ~125 lbs) and this shoe kinda feels like it is at the point where it is getting in the way. It feels decent when going a bit faster, but definitely a bit bulky in the forefoot when going slower. Even at speed, it does still feel a bit clunky up front. The air pods seem to require a bit more force going into them to activate and not get in the way. For smaller runners, this means when you're picking up the pace. You can definitely feel the air pods and they are springy for sure, but I'm not a huge fan of that lumpiness in the forefoot. I prefer the smoothness of the Next% and it has plenty of cushion while remaining super light.
Just something to watch out for for other smaller runners. I think these issues will probably carry over to the Alpha fly as well. I'm sure the Next% feels like too much shoe underfoot for some smaller runners as well, but this is definitely going to be the case for more with the Alphafly/Tempo.
