I'm fairly sure you're joking, but it brings up an interesting point. It would seem Hoppel showed the potential to run 1:43 last year. He was consistently good last year, and 4th at worlds, so it's fair to say he wasn't just a "fluke"
I also wonder what Engels could have really run last year. His 3:51 is worth around 3:33, his PR is 3:34. Was he so domestically dominant in 19 because he was really bin 3:31-2 shape, or because he was marginally better than everyone else and Centro was only slowly rounding into form?

I was surprised by the good predictions here. About Warholm, he has never stopped progressing so maybe 46.81, to tease his guts to beat the world record of 46.78 later this year? By the way, do you agree with Track & Field naming him the Athlete of the year 2019?

That would be amazing, I just hope Engels gets a Personal Best (Currently 3:34.04)and breaks 3:34.00, I have no idea what shape Hoppel is is in but under 1:44.00 would be great, 1:43.12 seems too fast for him, hopefully high 1:43 though, Everyone is saying Brazier is in good shape, so maybe 1:42 is in the cards, he might have 1:41 in his future, but if he did it tomorrow it would be shocking.

3:51 in the mile equals 3:34 in the 1500m! You must deduct around 17 seconds from the mile time.
Kejelcha´s WR in the mile 3:47 equals around 3:30.

Was it just male or both genders?
The official pacing scheme has been established for today's meeting.
Men 800m
400m - 49"5 ; Goal - Sub 1'42"
Women 1000m - WR ATTEMPT
200m - 29"5 ; 400m - 59" ; 600m - 1'28"5 ; Goal - 2'28" WR
Women 5000m
1k - 2'52" ; 2k - 5'44" ; Goal - Sub 14'20"
Men's 3000m Steeplechase - WR ATTEMPT
1k - 2'37" ; Goal - 7'52" WR
Men's 5000m - WR ATTEMPT
1k - 2'31" ; 2k - 5'03" ; 3k - 7'35" ; Goal - 12'36" WR
Apparently the ladies in the 1000m are going for Masterkova ancient but equally strong mark, while in the men's 3000m steeple, not only Consenslus was going for the WR but Girma, Wale and El Bakkali all asked for the WR pace. Going to be incredible...
I'd love to see Stewart McSweyn dip under 13 minutes, and even try to give the Australian Record a shake (12:55 by Craig Mottram) . He's got the talent and if he can hop onto a fast train for the first half of the race it's possible.
Similar story for Jessica Hull, she ran an impressive 3k in terrible conditions recently, the 14:47 Australian Record by the great Benita Johnson is under threat...
The Aussies are there to race? which of these two are more likely to come away with the record?
What about pacing for the 1500m?

Women's 5000: I dont think the pacers will be keeping up with Gidey. They can keep the breeze off Hassan and Obiri while Gidey quickly opens up a 60 metre gap. She on the road has run 2.49, 2.52, and 2.50 in the 13th, 14th and 15th km's of a 15k event. You don't think she can rip and tear here?
Predicting a 12:19 mens 5k. That seems absolutely unlikely but that's what I dreamed.
12:19! Probably not going to happen.
And for the 800, if they run one, I'll say 1:41.14.
Those are my 2 predictions.
Wasn't yet finalised, big discussion regarding the pacing, Cheruiyot and Ingebrigtsen's team never fell on common ground sources said.
Men's 1500
400m - 55" ; 800m - 1'50" ; 1000m - 2'18" ; Goal - 3'27"
Vincent Kibet Keter is too slow to pace the field to 1k 2:18.

V.Kibet and T.Sein will be the pacemakers.
Depends on her shape, even off of a conservative pace she could break the wr if she's in her 15k wr kind of shape.

Is this official? That's an insane pace!
I assume Cheruiyot is the one who is requesting that pace, given the Ingebrigtsen brothers have run 3:30.01-11 i think.
I really hope some people try to go with the pacers and leader if that pace is for real. Could make for some incredibly fast times.
Is Big Mac running or is he spending the next year hiding away going full throttle to get ready for Tokyo?
800m
1. Brazier 1:43.3
2. Tuka 1:44.1
3. Langford 1:44.3
1500m
1. Jakob 3:28.8
2. Wightman/Grice 3:29.6
4. Filip 3:29.7
5. Tim 3:31.5

As Kosgei found out at RAK: if you break the current record and finish second, you don’t hold it. Gidey will only beat Hassan if she can run the ‘kick’ out of her. Go hard early. I say. What has she to lose. Blow up or run second.
800 :
Brazier 1.42.5
2nd : 1.44.1
1500 :
Cheruyiot : 3.29.6
Jakob : 3.29.8
Kejelcha : 3.30.1
I see close finish
