What does the winner get?
I mean of the prediction contest (for J. Ingebritsen's time tonight in Monaco)?
Come on boys, put your money down (or at least a pair of shoes).

3:31.85. Backs off a hot pace early, maybe regrets it as some of the fast-starters hold on.
I would just say if he runs >3:31:30 while it is a fast race I think it would be a massive disappointment for him.

My guess: 3:28.74. Better than Big Mac PR, Iguider PR, Manangoi PR, Farah PR and Kwemoi PR.
OK, you got close.
Great race. Jacob #8 all-time 1500m list.

Are you men enough to come back to comment?
I readily admit that I underestimated Timothy and Wightman.
PS To "hvordan har du det" I will answer: "Godt tak".
And I didn´t think Jakob could run that fast without pacemaking!

If the pacing is right, and assuming the track is just as fast as last year, Jakob should break Nick's clean WR, and could go under 3:29.
Yes.

I had Jakob for a low 3:30.x because I didn't think Tim would be so fit to play rabbit.
Was awesome to watch.
The top-3 all surprised me positively (see the official Monaco thread).
Who did Timothy play rabbit for?
In the race I watched Jakob was frontrunning 1200m playing rabbit for the rest of the field!?
Timothy was paced until 1100m.
I think that both could go at least 1 second faster if the rabbits had run 2x 55 for the 2 first laps.
Then Jakob could have got the change to be paced too. And Timothy would have benefitted from a more even pacing.

Yeah they can definitely both go way faster. One of them, and maybe even both, is going to break Hicham El Guerrouj's world record.
Uh, I said Cheruiyot would win the 1500m. I predicted Jakob at 3:30.20. What's your problem? Reading comprehension?

Tim played the rabbit that Jakob was hunting. We all know that helps too.
In the race I watched the last pacer moved over at the beginning of the straight before the bell, meaning Tim had less than 1100 m of pacing. By then, Jakob had almost caught up.
Then Jakob was drafting during the whole last lap - when it's most important.
Both basically ran the ideal line for 1500 m.
A great race for both. About WR, I don't see them going 3 seconds faster with better pacing in their current shape. 1 second faster, yes.
My prediction is he continues to have a very punchable face.
Coevett ftw. Also, what does this even mean? Please explain what makes you want to punch a 19-year-old kid.

So you were ONLY underestimating Jakob with 1.5 seconds!? You don´t think you can comment on that?
