Do any of you guys know if New Balance will carry on with the 1400 or has it been discontinued? Thanks.

Someone I know who works for a major retailer has told me that more colorways are slated to be released through 2021, so if a v7 comes out, it might be next summer.
Thanks?
The upper & outsole on the v6 are great. Only room for improvement i see is the midsole.
If NB could formulate a Firm version of the Fuelcell foam then the 1400v7 would be a good shoe to implement it.
Bump. Anyone have any updates? I don't know what I'm going to do if 1400s are no longer available. 99%+ of my miles have been in 1400s since 2012.
Same. I'm supplementing with NB Honzo for 50% of my miles to stretch out the lifespan of my 1400s. Hoping the 1400s will be back in production soon.
Is this like the T7 all over again? I still miss the T7...

Me too! I'm down to my last pair after buying ~20 pairs a decade (or more?!) of the version 1 on mega clearance at a NB outlet store. That shoe is everything I want and nothing I don't.
It's low to the ground, modest heel drop, cushioned enough without being pillowy, legs always feel good.
Even something like a saucony kinvara feels like too much shoe to me and makes my legs hurt.
This thread got me searching and I found this link, where you can bizarrely choose a size, but there's no availability, got my hopes up:

the 1400 v6 is available on runningwarehouse
1400v7 wish list :
- 0.5ounces lighter by utilizing higher tech foam & upper material.
- Revlite midsole replaced with firmer version of Fuelcell foam.
- plastic midfoot shank replaced with carbon fiber extending further forward
- similar upper and slim underfoot without any silly sole flares.

F'ing a. I didn't like the 1400, but at least I could run in them, uncomfortably, unlike the super high drop carbon shoes. Is that all that's going to be left?

I would sign it.
Discontinuing the 1400 is such a poorly thought out idea.
They have the rebel line to compete in the now over saturated high stack height light weight shoe area. Discontinuing the 1400 won’t increase their sales in that area. (Side note, the rebel 2s are really nice)
In the light weight flat sector though, they really have that whole sector to themselves now. Everyone else has stopped making them. The customers currently buying the 1400 aren’t going to stop. New balance should just keep milking the shoe design and change nothing.

Yeh, exactly, right?
I don't even know how many pairs to stock up on. The 1400 has been my mainstay shoe since it was brought onto the market. I've owned every iteration. My entire track team trains in them. I just don't get it. There are no other shoes like this on the market, they're cult classic, are a fine design that needs no tweaking (IMO)... just why?

as someone who has had his fav shoes discontinued a few times, the answer is stock up on all you can afford and find online
Well after trying the Hyperion Tempo early 2021 and Rebel V2 late 2021 - not a huge fan or either but what are we to do?
I'm trying Puma Liberate Nitro next. Description sounds very similar (light cushion, light shoe, similar drop, lower cost) and I'm excited. Anyone who loved the 1400s try these out?
