Apparently men paced Purrier through 1300m. It’s why you don’t see full video. No rail, paced by men, no track certification, no c19 testing. Come on. Get it together NB. The four flat is great, just call it what it is, but don’t come off saying it’s a pb. It’s a male paced time trial without a rail, without athlete safety measures in place. There are reason we have these rules. There are athletes and meet managers out there making large efforts to put certified athletic meetings on around the world. Surely, Purrier can find one of these meets and get a real PB. Until she does that, these marks should be fully ignored, but for an acknowledgment that she is fit and ready to race.
The point is just to get out there and run fast to have confidence in the work she's putting in. Maybe she doesn't feel comfortable traveling to a larger public meet right now. Honestly, I can't say I blame her. Male pacers make the performance ineligible to be official, but doesn't make the time any less real. FAT timing, track certified, cones in place, and two USATF officials were there. Stop whining about what it isn't and enjoy what it is...an outstanding effort!
