Was just watching a show on the history channel and it was talking about what ever happened to James Dean's car that he crashed & died in. This got me wondering what ever happened to or where is the car that Pre died in?

Probably was sold for scrap metal.
I don't know either. However Jeff Hollister got the car that was used in the one of the Pre movies. Don't remember which one he worked on
The 73' MG B was toast after Pre steered it into the rock.

Someone would probably pay lots of money to buy the heap of metal. It is the same as Paula Radcliffe's dump been sold online. If you are looking for a running investment then invest in something worthwhile like Bekele's hotel and other businesses in Ethiopia.

I remember when someone had a gu packet they claimed was used by Lance Armstrong during the NYC Marathon that was for sale on Ebay. The bidding was pretty damn high before it got pulled.
People are weird.
I wonder what Camille Herron's Subaru went for?

My guess is she got a nice chunk of change from the other persons insurance company. Pain and suffering, medical bills, value of car as that is totaled.
The car is sitting in a junkyard getting stripped for it's parts....
Insurance companies typically total a car in a wreck like this, pay the estate, take the car, and sell it at auction. Depending on the extent of the damage, the auctioned car is either repaired and sold with a salvage title, scrapped and used for parts in a junkyard, or scrapped of any useful parts and sold as scrap metal. The scrap metal is crushed and sold to be remelted and reused.
Good question. I thought of that before. I guess it probably ended up in Springfield scrap yard after the police completed the investigation.
This post was removed.
The location of that crash was very near a high cliff that would have made it more dramatic by far, and completely demolished the car Hollywood-style.

https://www.scrapi.com/a real pitty. I also saw a 1971 Datsun said to have belonged to Steve Prefontaine is being auctioned on eBay. The seller, based in California, describes the car thusly offered for no reserve, high bidder wins is Steve Prefontaine’s 1971 240Z built in May of 1971. The car has been in California for many years and currently is a California blue plate car. It has 90k original miles. The car still has the all original owners' manuals, radio manual, and consumer informational brochure, and warranty booklet.
Why didn’t anyone tell me about this some months ago?!

Is there a rule against attaching a helium balloon to yourself while running a road race?
Am I living in the twilight zone? The Boston Marathon weather was terrible!
How rare is it to run a sub 5 minute mile AND bench press 225?
Move over Mark Coogan, Rojo and John Kellogg share their 3 favorite mile workouts
Mark Coogan says that if you could only do 3 workouts as a 1500m runner you should do these
Red Bull (who sponsors Mondo) calls Mondo the pole vaulting Usain Bolt. Is that a fair comparison?
