False premise. 75° isn't too warm. The top ten 5000m times were run at and avg of 70° that means at least half of them have been well over 70°. I see a 71, 72, and thre 80s.
I did a study of this about ten-15 years ago, calculating the average start time temperature of the 50 best performances in each event 1500-10000m. I calculated the average of top 1, 2, 3, .....50. I'll try to find the raw data but I do have the graph in front of me.
https://imgur.com/KpYl0PKYou confuse average with median above.
No I don't. Given enough data points average and median are going to be nearly identical.

High of 83 F, low of 73F for Friday. By the evening it will probably be 75 deg F at best, much warmer than ideal for a WR. Anyone know what the weather was for the 3 sub 12:40s? I know Geb's was quite cool; not sure about Kenny's WR and Komen's 12:39. But I bet it was way cooler than Friday will be.
I am optimistic Joshua will eventually get Kenny's WRs but it will take perfect conditions. I'm thinking they'll start out at WR pace but fade the last 2000m to a 12:45 or so.
People actually think this dude is in the same league as Bekele, Geb, and Komen?!
No way he runs in the 12:30’s.

Kenyans always hype up way too much. No way he gets it.

Lol 12:33. You really have no idea or appreciation for that requires.

WR He did it OMG
Time to quote all the naysayers?
Lol. Runner from country with no doping control breaks world record from the dirtiest period of track and field, in period of unprecedented inability to drug test, PR'ing by 20 seconds. Shocker.
No forget about them. Celebrate this wonderful achievement. What a time. I didn't think the condition would allow a WR but he did it. So happy for him. Great result.
