Duh, but I don't think they build them over gaslines here in Canada. There was a field I grew up near. Long field, about 1/3 a mile long. Gas line underneath. Houses on each side.
Looks like a bunch of poor people living over a gas line? Cheap housing, cram them in over a gas line. Should be planned out with the gas line in mind.

It happened out in my rural neck of the woods in town. 3 houses separated 100ft apart, all gone several years ago. I think 3 or 4 people perished.
The other houses that were around it had most of their windows blown out.
Guess they got lucky only 1 person died.
