Hi, as the title suggests I will be time trialling a two mile soon. I have mostly been doing easy mileage, one tempo run, and a harder long run (50-65mpw~ two months). In the last week I've hit the track for two workouts and was curious of what time to aim for in the two mile. The first workout was 4x(4x400m) in 73-70 seconds with 100m jogging rest between reps and 400 jogging between sets. The second workout was 2x(10x200m) in around 33 seconds with 100m jog between reps and a 4 minute static rest between sets. In early June I did 2-3 weeks of speed stuff and ran a 4:32 mile which was a solid PR. It seems like my body is adapting pretty well to an increase in mileage, as before this summer I had never run above 45 miles in a week. What do you think is possible in two weeks with 2-3 more track workouts under my belt?
