Looks like it will be on the Olympic Channel at 5pm PST. Just have to avoid seeing the results during the day

I'm wondering if Kejelcha will be pacing the 5k? seems unlikely that anyone else would be able to pull Cheptegei through 3k

Engels and Rowbury in the men's 1500 and women's 5000? Looks like some politicking was done to get them in on the coattails of Brazier. Neither of them are gonna be factors in their races.
Happens all the time. Should J Lyles be in the meet?
Look at the lineup—there are some big past performers like Lemaitre and Guliyev, but based on current ability, IMO Jo belongs. In all seriousness he might even medal.

Don´t underestimate Kejelcha in the 1500m! He is often running very fast in the beginning of the season (which this is technically).
Last year he broke the indoor mile WR and was also close when Tefera broke the indoor 1500m WR.
Kejelcha has the potential to 3:30 or faster when at his best.
But so far he has - to my knowledge - been under the radar this year so who knows which kind of preparations he has made.
Especially to Coevett ;
I will be VERY surprised if Charlie and/ or Wightman break 3:30.

No...
Also, we get to see if Del Ponte is for real in the 100m, she will be up against Ta Lou.
Ta Lou for the easy win in this one.
Kejelcha is going to try to contend for the win in the 1500, and at least a PB in the race. No way he'd pace.
Perhaps Cheptegei's countryman and NN teammate, Stephen Kissa, is the second pacer for this. 13:10 PB, and some solid results at 10K (27:47) and HM (1:00:00) on the road this season. That being said this article intimates he'll be competing for himself:

Also some good hype for the young Kenyan, Krop, who could be primed to end the drought for Kenyan 5,000 meter running finishing 6th in Doha at a very young age/lots of inexperience.

Haile unlikely.
Do you think the athletics world at large is operating like the Bowerman Track Club?
Nevermind. Didn't see how close the two races were together.
Kimeli is the only other sub 13 runner in the race. So unless the pacers aren't listed I don't know how this will be a world record race.
Just very odd to see Shannon Rowbury in the race, with a pr 14 seconds slower and not in top form, but not Houlihan or Schweizer. How many gold medals have Jerry's athletes won? With so many gold medalists, he must think he knows how to prepare athletes for championships.
Also, a shame not to see Rai Benjamin and Samba in there against Warholm in the chase for the world record.
Just FYI. Wightman appears to be in good shape. Just ran a 1:45.5 in Sweden. Ready to run a fast one.
Agree that it is a shame the Bowerman group chooses not to compete in the 2020 Diamond league especially given their recent results.
We have yet to see if Rowbury has made her way back to top form.
Her fall road races and recent track efforts are at the very least an encouraging sign that she is well on her way after giving birth 2 years ago

Do you think Wightman can PR with 2 seconds in the 1500m?
I thought that it was great that Rowbury was able to make it back to low 4 in the 1500m. But when you have two Americans finally good enough to compete at the very top level in the 5000m at Monaco and they stay home, that is like having the Chiefs stay home from the Super Bowl to practice or play a game of snow football (=intrasquad relay or 2k elimination race).
DL meets are not about nationalities. It's not that Rowbury is taking away Schweizer's spot in Monaco. The latter could run if she wanted and her manager had arranged it. Blame BTC for their reluctance to run in international but not Rowbury.

Matt Ramsden is pacing. He recently ran a 3km time trial in 7:39, so should probably be able to take them to at least 2.5km in 61s. I imagine there is at least one other pacer though
Remember when Bekele ran his 12:37 the pacers just slowed him down. Maybe Cheptegei will be better off doing the last 2k on his own
Jerry has his methods, but I suppose the disappointing thing is Houlihan doesn’t really have experience in a high-caliber international 5,000. Schweizer at least has run a WC final. I feel like Shelby could gain some valuable experience mixing it up in that race. Schweizer too now that she could be competitive as opposed to hanging on for PBs. Both of their tactics aren’t going to get sharpened in polite time trials with friendly pacers.
Shelby I suppose has the 11th in the 2016 Olympics. Don’t think that’s enough though.
Is there a rule against attaching a helium balloon to yourself while running a road race?
Am I living in the twilight zone? The Boston Marathon weather was terrible!
How rare is it to run a sub 5 minute mile AND bench press 225?

Mark Coogan says that if you could only do 3 workouts as a 1500m runner you should do these
