The reproductive parts (nuts, seeds, grains, etc) of any plant are toxic but peanuts are just straight-up trash. Runners gravitate to them for the convenience and caloric density, but they are loaded with poisonous molds (mycotoxins) and antintrients which actually sap real nutrients from your body and wreak havoc on your organs.
What to substitute? Whole fatty cuts of meat like steak, ribs, roast etc., as well as sausage, liver, eggs. Eat a real frikkin meal for a change, ya saps.
