West Wing

I've seen every friends episode and every office episode. The office is a 10/10. Friends is a 3/10.
Never seen Seinfeld
Never seen a Seinfeld? It was the best show ever. Seinfeld and David were very observant of little things and emotions of life. I
It actually reflected a high level of perceptiveness.
Really never saw one?
Office is probably my favorite but close are Scrubs, Seinfeld, Mom, and How I Met Your Mother.
Sitcom-Seinfeld
Drama-Breaking Bad (The Wire a close second)
Mad Men.
Le Bureau is really good. Great thriller series.

Breaking bad was good but its not even the best crime drama imo. The wire trumps it in every way
The UK version was a little better, with Ricky Gervais and a bit more of an edge. US version got a little too cute, and much like Friends became a romantic comedy.
Seinfeld was a champ to the end.
Modern Family. Marker drop!!!!!
In my opinion, you can't really compare Seinfeld and Breaking Bad. One is a 30mn comedy and another is a 1 hour drama/suspense. Too different....
In my opinion (30mn comedy sitcoms), Seinfeld is the best followed by Scrubs, The Office, Friends, How I Met Your Mother, and Family Guy. Both Scrubs and The Office declined in later seasons (Scrubs just got too goofy while The Office just tanked when Steve Carell left). The other three stayed true to the end and although had good and bad episodes, were consistently solid all around.
If you are talking 60mn drama/suspense shows, Breaking Bad is GREAT, probably the best. I also like The Shield, West Wing, Friday Night Lights and Better Call Saul. Yellowstone is also solid right now with Kevin Costner. I need to watch The Wire...

My friend Seinfeld says Friends and Seinfeld.
Both terrible shows.
Seinfeld was great at the time. It is somewhat dated. Freinds was never even close to the Seinfeld level. The office in the Steve Carell era is definitely the best sitcom of the past 20 years.
Best show currently on TV goes to South Park. Absolutely hilarious. Absolute trailblazer that is unafraid to comment on any number of social issues. If Stone and Parker want to keep it going it will definitely go at least another decade.
The recency bias on this thread is off the charts, as if television was invented in 1990 and TV sets became commonplace by 2000.

Stone and Parker are two of the biggest creative geniuses of their generation.
I always felt Malcolm in the middle was underrated. Hilarious show.
All in the Family - broke barriers. Addressed problems we are still coping with today.
I Love Lucy
I'm currently watching The Larry Sanders Show from end-to-end. Still holds up quite well (Rip Torn was a hoot) and you get to see a number of current big-name stars early in their careers make guest appearances.
MASH
A great comedy and great drama at the same time. It tackled actual legit issues in a historical context.
It was even on before my time so no bias here.
End of thread
1. Dragon Ball Z
2. Breaking Bad
3. The Office
