The overall record (fastest known time) for the Colorado Trail (~500 miles) is 8 days and 30 minutes, by Bryan Williams.
Courtney Dauwalter is doing one of those things that makes people say women could be better ultra distance runners than men. To put it simply, she is absolutely assaulting that record; at 3 days, she is significantly beyond where Bryan went in 4. There is always a ton of stuff that can go wrong with several hundred miles to go, but Courtney’s effort could put that FKT in another whole realm. The capacity that some of the top women have to cover ground (see also Camille Herron) is incredible.
