I really hoped they'd have serious attempts for Moh and Shelby at 10k and 1500m/1mile. Haven't seen the women's 800 yet but this was boring because of how absurdly fit Moh is right now, hence wanting to see him run a 10 paced as far as possible by Lopez, McGorty, etc.
What do you think he could run in a paced 2k? Looks like he ran 5:01 here, going out in 1:53. I think he would have been capable of 4:51 at worst with normal pace setting.
That really sucked. Waste of fitness.
The commentary by Chris Derrick and Ryan Hill was so good. The races wouldn't have been nearly as interesting without it as I don't know half these people and there are absolutely no stakes.
Wish regular track and marathon commentary were like this, full of insider personal knowledge making runners into personalities. Old guy commentators and general announcers can't even recognize who is who sometimes and won't put themselves on the line by even saying if someone's form is good or if someone's flagging. They'll just talk about the sure shot the whole time in order to not be wrong.

Lol waste of fitness? He ran 1247 and 334 this season when they could ba e skipped racing altogether, you just don't know what you're talking about.
You people complain when they don't race enough, then complain when we race too much. It's just goes to show how clueless the running community is.

Oh no! Looks like an actual BTC member (“we”) got triggered! A 2k elimination race? Yah total waste.

Who in their right mind would run an all out effort at every distance in a season? When is the last time something like that happened from 1500-10k? He ran a 1247 and 334 for you all and somehow that wasn't enough?

Someone gets it

Some aholes are never happy. This dude would complain about taxes on a winning Powerball ticket.
Looks like all the Bowerman Bros showed up in the thread to rationalize the junk that was this last 2k. Go live in training camps for 6 months of your year to run 5 meets (counting indoors)? Gimme a break. Waste.
I thought it was fun to watch and I second the comment on the commentary - really entertaining!

Yes, believe it or not it takes a lot of training to be good at running. Sometimes it takes 6 months. Are all of you people idiots?

Who are you? It's really cool that sometimes pro runners actually show up there to shut the mouth of the keyboards warriors.
Bowerman did a lot this season and I have been a fan of all the clubs in this country. To me Mo and Shelby did more entertainment and the whole team ( especially Chris who did this for the team as he had a long marathon cycle in his legs) . A1 commentary. Amazing job this whole season. Even Woody tried when he lacked fitness. You can't criticize them for putting on a show over the last several weeks when you haven't provided any yourself.
Love the commentary
I also don't thing it's psychotic to run an all out 1500, 5k, and 10k in an entire season..these distances really don't take a ton out of you.
Peak for all 3? no that doesn't make sense. But you can def run a few all out efforts In a year without it being a big deal.
I'm assuming outside runner is in btc. Could be wrong. But that means they prob know way more than I do about running.
But... Don't all pro athletes run several all out races In a year, bare minimum?

Well unless you want to go back in time and cancel covid so we could have had the olympics I think this is the best we're gonna get.
