Here is my normal work running week. The past 4 years I've worked about 50-55 hrs per week, sometimes more. The first years out of college it was more like 40.
Regular workweek
4:30-45am. Get up and run. 11-13miles. Usually workouts 2 days during the week and 3 easy days.
Then recovery core.
6:30 ish Breakfast check emails
7:00 go to work. Either drive 15min to office or clients site. I spend a lot of time outside the office for various work activities.
5:30 ish finish work and go for a double 5-6 miles. Depending on whether I finished at the office or at home might run from a couple different locations and then drive home.
6:30-7ish have dinner then make lunch for tomorrow. Then shower relax for a little while.
8:30 head for bed/read for a while before falling asleep.
Sat/sun do a hard run and double one day and long run the other.
Weekdays are pretty packed and not much time for other activities. Try to get as much of my errands and meal prep done on the weekends. I have more time for social activities on weekends. In my early to mid 20s I was hitting a lot of 120-130 mile weeks. In the late 20s. In the lead in to my second OTs was more in the 110-115 mile range. The biggest difference now is with my job 5 years ago it was much less demanding and more supportive of running. It is much more difficult to stay healthy now whereas at 25 I felt like I was bulletproof. Overall though I've enjoyed it but there are sacrifices and it is not for everyone.
