Just watched "The Weight of Gold". Mental health and Olympians is misunderstood. However, Lolo saying she is shoved aside to make way for Sydney McLaughlin is a ridiculous statement. First off, you do different events. Second off, you gave up on track before Sydney made it big. Third off, you were not the best at your event. Fourth off, her big time would have been this year, 8 years after you made track team. Completely irresponsible and unwarranted.
I didn't watch that but I have to agree with your statement.
I don't know why there is so much drama with Lolo all the time, perhaps it has to do with her upbringing.
But, she is still an incredible athlete and has gone very far in the sport. Is a 2 time world champion indoors, a title many people write off, but it's still almost like an Olympic Gold, just not in the same year and with a roof over your head.
Anyways, she did also mention she was technically unemployed on one of her video broadcasts a while ago. If that hasn't changed, she's probably stressed out. Even though she appears to have found quite.a bit of material success. Who knows what her situation is like, but, if the sponsorship money isn't coming in, she's probably stressed about what to do.
