Scottish doughboy with crazy wheels. Looks to be very fit after recent 1k.
Mustachioed vagabond with a history of really rising to the occasion when it counts. A 7:50 3k and 1:48 800m recently looked uninspired.
Who takes the gold tonight over 1500m?
*Prakel for a spoiler?

I'll take Kerr in a kick finish.

Engels for glingles. -
Kerr is a world class runner. Top 15 last year. Plus, young and improving.
Kerr should be able to beat Engels with ease. -
1) Kerr
2) Avila
3) Engels -
I’ll take Engels, mostly because he’s being unfairly dismissed. Considering the circumstances of his recent 800 & 3k events I see no reason to assume he’s not in 1:45/3:35/7:45 shape.
The poster taking Kerr because he’s a “world class athlete,” implying that Engels is not, is being ridiculous. They are both WC finalists, and going into the WC final Engels looked a bit better on paper. He’d beaten Kerr over 800 in July and placed top-5 at Pre, Birmingham & Brussels—plus won his national championships, which Kerr did not. Don’t get me wrong, Kerr is fantastic, but I’m taking a stand against the disrespect for Engels.
1. Engels 3:35.5
2. Kerr 3:35.8
3. Prakel 3:37.0
Engels takes the lead with 50m left. -

I like your confidence. However, Kerr es 6th and craig 10th in Doha- both athletes are with similar pr’s. -
Similar prs??
Kerr: 3:32.52
Engels: 3:34:04
Hm, interesting!
I guess Kerr can then say he has a similar pr to Musagala, Grice, Tefera? -
Remember, Kerr destroyed Centro in Doha. And Ronald Kwemoi.
I don't think Engels is in that category. Kerr would have be in poor race shape to lose. -

You called it. Incidentally, what I meant regarding pr’s was that Engles had the edge at 800 (1:44 vs 1:45) and Kerr had the edge at 15 after his 3:32 in Doha. -
So what was the result?

Kerr 1st in 3:34.X and Engels 3rd in 3:36.X

engels is a bum, he got embarrassed.
-
Kerr jogged 3:34.
Are all three Brits running in Monaco? I believe Charlie Grice is, and I hope Kerr and Whiteman are too.
Wouldn"t be surprised if one of them goes sub 3:30. -
