I'm curious if what we are experiencing in the US with the protests etc. is unique to the US. I know some countries are so homogeneous and protective of their culture (Japan for instance) that it's not an issue because there really isn't any diversity there. I've known a couple of non Japanese people who have gone there to teach English and they felt that there was considerable racism towards them. In the past I'd heard of horrible racism against the Aboriginals in Australia (does it still exist?) and we all know about the terrible problems in South Africa in the past.
So I'm interested in hearing from other Letsrunners who don't live in the US. What is the Black or race breakdown population in your country? Is there a black crime problem, issues with law enforcement against blacks, high crime statistics against them or are these issues unique to the US? Is there another ethnic group that is discriminated against in your country and if so, why, what's driving it?
