I prefer to run in the evening when it is not as humid. It can be hot but it feels better.

I would say morning. I usually feel better and run better in the evening though. I choose morning because it can stay hot until after 8 o'clock and if I wait to run until 8 o'clock it really messes with the rest of the day.
I run in the mornings, waiting all day to run really ruins any plans you have. Your run would always be in the back of your mind.
Evening. I'm an early riser but not an early runner. I look forward to my run rather than fret about it.
It has been tough lately though with DC on a streak of very warm humid weather. The hottest days I just skip. Others I go slow or do a workout with short reps. Rarely, I do go out in the morning.
I much prefer running at night (starting right after sunset), but I can't trust myself to have the motivation to actually get out the door and do it if I wait that long. Too many possibilities for excuses.
So instead I run first thing in the morning when I wake up.
It doesn’t matter from a weather standpoint. It’s 65 degrees 24 hours a day at this time of year.

Morning runs are more beneficial for one main reason; increases metabolism for the day. And, you get it out of the way in case anything unplanned comes up
Prefer evenings, but doing mornings when there is a chance of afternoon/evening thunderstorms. Purely evenings on weekdays in normal times when going to the office. The weekday morning runs are a COVID benefit.
Mornings for me. In the Midwest, the humidity is not always guaranteed to be hone by the evening. So it's normally more pleasant in the mornings. Plus with a family, it's much, much easier to do it first thing and then have evenings free after kids are in bed.

Morning : 100 minutes workout push-ups, lunges,squats. 20 sets start a set every 5 min
Evening: Run 4-9 miles , ab routine

Reverse it.
Strength work in am wakes me up and gets me going for day. Plus I can do it in my living room in case kiddos wake up. Evening tends to be cooler which makes the run feel easier and more refreshing.
Not training for anything other than to get rid of the “fat” moniker. Will still be an old fart though. Lost 25 pounds in 14 weeks.

Doubles FTW!
I used to be a lunch runner at work, but with COVID I’ve got more flexibility, so I enjoy mid-mornings before it gets too hot. Workouts and long runs are early morning affairs, though - no question.
I will say that I’ve done some sunset runs lately, and those can be really nice. Good wildlife even in the neighborhoods near me - nothing beats a cool evening with a darkening sky and seeing some deer grazing or a flock of wild turkeys wandering across the road.
Got to do it in the morning. I sit through most of my day and when I try and get my 54 year old body moving after being stationary for that long, it is a disaster. Usually, after a work day I will stretch or workout in the garage.
Afternoon/evening. Running in morning will make you want to nap. If you run later on you'll just sleep better at night.
Doubles if possible. I hate getting up in the AM, but after a morning run, I feel great. Love going for an evening run too. If I’m not working, I’m doing doubles.
Run at HIGH NOON like a man.
But for real, in the evening I tell myself I’m too tired from work and that I’ll run in the morning. In the morning I tell myself I’ve got plenty of time to run in the evening and I’ve gotta get going to work. It’s a vicious cycle that’s been going on for 10 years now.
I double but I like sleeping in so it's usually 9am and 8pm

I concur with the preference (but lack of motivation) for evening runs so I end up doing easy runs in the mornings. However, I don't run workouts well in the mornings because I wake up crazy kinds of stiff, and it takes me a few hours of being awake before I'm loosened up. So I end up running those in 90+ deg/50+ hum. around lunchtime or late-afternoon depending on my work schedule. It's miserable.
Mornings for easy runs afternoons for workouts
