Sec and acc announced plans to play. They won’t play. It’s all getting cancelled Tuesday. The power conferences are trying to show they have a plan, it’s not enough.
Ncaa will cancel on Tuesday. Only question is whether power 5 is confident enough to break away and play anyway which is a pretty big risk to take with no ncaa umbrella protection
Can college football be played if regular students are not on campus?
Does this further the argument that football players are pros? Power 5 of course.
No. Are track and XC runners pros because they are required to be on campus 2 weeks before other students? Are they pros because they have to he there over Christmas when other students are not there?
Ncaa big guy apologies for not being clearer- I was referring to the other sports at the P5. The football situation is indeed a separate entity. I think P5 will have a difficult time selling playing football but not there other sports in the fall which is why I think they will either follow the ncaa decision or have to consider a full mutiny against them.
This isn’t going to turn out well. Just being a lineman is a pre existing condition. Those guys need oxygen if a play goes longer than 5 seconds.
Why do you say NCAA champs will be cancelled Tuesday? I know there is a meeting taking place but they’ll probably just delay the decision again.
