If the NCAA cared a shred for their athletes, they would’ve announced their intention for the season weeks ago. This heel dragging is typical and shows how the NCAA only cares about revenue. They obviously have no care for student-athletes’ schedules, nor their safety amid the virus.
NCAA DECISION ON FRIDAY

The NCAA led by money-worshiping wimps who view the athletes as expendable, exploitable commodities? That's such a radical shift from their past.

Called it 😂 where are the cancellation people now, the NCAA is predictable and unhelpful

We’ll see you again in 2 weeks when it gets cancelled for real -
Great news the health and well being of college athletes is the highest priority of NCAA so surely they well allow them to participate, as cancelling certainly wouldnt promote the well being of these athletes.
“Today the Board of Governors and I agreed that we must continue to thoughtfully and aggressively monitor health conditions around the country and the implementation of the COVID-19 guidelines we issued last week. The health and well-being of college athletes is the highest priority in deciding whether to proceed with our 22 NCAA championships beginning in late November. We all remain deeply concerned about the infection trend lines we see. It is clear that the format of our championships will have to change if they are to be conducted in a safe and fair manner. We discussed other complexities in addition to the health and safety impacts, to include team availability, travel limitations and various local and state restrictions. We will continue our discussions in August"

You will note that I simply said that it wouldn't get cancelled today because the NCAA can't make a timely decision. I think it's very likely that the fall championships in high risk sports are cancelled outright but we will see. -
Won't impact football. They will still play their intra conference games. Hell, maybe even a conference championship.

Here you go. -
Thanks 😂 for the record I'm not usually this obnoxious. There was a bet involved with one of my friends who is one of the unregistered posters. Everyone just wants to run, no hate.

Yep, it will be cancelled. No one said it will be cancelled today. -
Why do you want them to be cancelled so badly? Is there some college dream you couldn’t live out so you don’t want anyone else to have a chance?
-
78k covid positives in the US today. The number is only going up. They can try to have a fall season, but my guess is they'll have to cancel it part way through if they do.

"Just wait two weeks!" Haha as always. Doomers are hilarious. I love how this feels like a loss to you. -

Ever heard of the 1500 and 5k record holder, Houlihan? Ever heard of the 3k record holder, Schweizer? Transfer Iowa to Canada and the US women's team becomes significantly weaker.
Canada doesn’t want Iowa .iowa is a dirt patch. #dirt -
They should not have sports until COVID is gone and racism has ended meaning no group has anything left to gripe about and everyone is happy, I hope this happens soon because I miss sports, I was looking forward to the USC VS Alabama game in early September, unfortunately I don't see that happening.

yes, they will start and then shut down when they realize there is too much COVID around, this isn't a bubble where you can control it...college administrators don't have a stomach for outbreaks..mich state shut down their football program for 14 days over two cases
covid isn't going away anytime soon -
The media has convinced everyone that it is not safe to interact. But if they do too good of a job, people will realize that if it will never be safe again, we need to function normally like we do with the flu and driving cars and heart disease. People were willing to give up 6 months of their life but nobody is willing to give up 5 years of it. So yes let's assume that it is not going away. The only solution would then be to move on with life.
