Funny thing about all these big lockdown places (New York, UK, Lombardy) - the antibody tests showed they hit herd immunity quickly and it's all over there one way or the other.
All these other places that cried about "flatten the curve" and the hospitals never got close to flooded, their antibody tests show they're just prolonging the agony. Examine the logic. Either
A) the lockdowns work
=> no herd immunity when they are lifted
=> unless and until vaccine happens, outbreak returns when lockdown ends
AND
vaccine may never happen (axiomatic - it's the common cold)
=> state committed to possibly indefinite, self-destructive lockdown.
B) lockdowns don't work (witness Italy, UK, New York)
=> no more wasting resources protecting healthy people
=> possibly fewer deaths of unhealthy people to blame on covid-19.
Politics isn't logical, and in the U.S., it has committed itself to a narrative that B) would dispel, so it is recklessly committed to A) and its mad rush into limbo.
