Male, 43, 5'7", 133 lbs, 60 mpw, pr 125 half, 257 full.
This Wednesday I suddenly got a bit of a knot in my lower back on the left hand side, where the dimple is. Thursday I went out for a short run and made it but the pain worsened. Today I ran about two blocks and just turned around and walked back home. From what I read, it sounds like the sacroiliac joint. I thought it might be from terrible posture due to sitting at my new office desk aka the kitchen table for 12 hours every day for four months. But, sitting, sleeping, etc, doesn't hurt, it only hurts when the joint takes an impact, and today it radiated into my left butt cheek.
What Doesn't Hurt - Swimming, Riding a Bike, Lifting Heavy Things, Twisting, Walking up Stairs
What Hurts - Running, Jumping up and Down
Anyone have experience with this? Hoping it's not a stress fracture. I guess it doesn't matter since there aren't any races to train for but man that would be rough.
