Was signed up for Manchester Marathon in October, they announced their cancellation an hour ago. Had been following the Jack Daniels Marathon plan and was just about to start phase 3.
What should I do now? Do you think it's a good idea to continue with the training plan? Maybe adjust it somehow? Maybe TT on what would've been race day? It would've been my first marathon so I don't know if I want my first marathon experience to be an unofficial time trial, would much rather get the full experience.
I'm thinking about running a 10k or even a half on the track when the time comes. Should I adjust my plan to account for this? (Maybe lower my mileage a bit and do some faster reps?)
I'm 22M and currently fitter than I've ever been (was targetting sub-2:30 and training times were looking promising), so I feel at my age I don't need to 'take this as an opportunity to rest'.
Any insight from non-trolls would be appreciated! (And trolls too I guess, usually I find them pretty funny).
