Like anything, it depends on your attractiveness. 20% of men on Tinder are getting 80% of the girls. That does not necessarily mean the other 80% of guys are fighting for the remaining 20% because that group of girls are still looking for the most attractive, well-off guy they can bag.

Realistically, 80% of men are probably fighting for 5% or less of the girls who would actually hook up with them. And the longer those girls stay on Tinder the more they are disillusioned by so many desperate guys writing them with the same boring stories and same boring pickup lines and they eventually clam up and leave the platform.

The net result is that most men are having less sex but a select elite group of men are having much more random sex with women they wouldn't otherwise normally run into. It is not uncommon for a single stud to bag 2 or 3 women per night.

Smashed a lot of women on it, not a lot else to say about a casual dating app. Haven't seen anyone since COVID hit. Prior to that, I broke up with my girlfriend back in early August and started using Tinder for many hookups. Been on and off with the app as I dated.

You get a lot of the typical BS lines as seen above, but it's exactly as it sounds... BS. Everyone says whatever it takes to make them look less bad when they're interested in someone.

Most men fail because:

a) they don't know how to groom themselves --- how they cut their hair, trim/fit their facial hair

b) they don't know how to dress, or wear proper clothes --- oversized clothing, terrible color coordination/looking tacky, raggedy looking clothes

c) they're boring or have crazy personalities --- they might get the first date regularly, but then they blow it because they have some bad tendencies on said first date.

d) they take awful & boring pictures --- Come on, a lot of dudes are exactly this way.

I'm not a stud by any means. I'm 5'9", 158 lbs, and fit (still have abs at 31 as I diet and lift weights). There are a lot of far more attractive guys on tinder than me, but I still find great success, and I'm not lowering my standards.

That's probably quite accurate. Tinder and other apps have made dating very, very easy for me. I would rate myself in the top 5% but not top 1% in overall looks (height, body, face - I realize this is all subjective except for height but I feel fairly confident in this assessment for a variety of reasons). I last installed Tinder earlier this year and have over 2300 "likes" (have Tinder Gold so I can see this) and it just shows 99+ matches which I'm not going to count but I am fairly picky, I'd guess I swipe right on 5-10%. I use other dating apps as well, and I've had success finding one LTR, a ton of short-term and casual dating, as well as some even briefer encounters. Women don't seem that picky about age, I get tons of likes from girls 10-15 years younger than me, as well as a fair number 10+ years older.

I don't think appearance alone will get you a ton of attractive girls (to actually meet, not just matching) unless maybe you've got model looks. I don't have any profile description and all it shows besides my photos is age, distance, and university attended (it's a very good one). When the conversation shifts to work, I've never ever discussed my income but girls could figure out I'm pretty financially comfortable. I also never initiate anything sexual in my conversations, as I'm generally looking to meet girls who could at least potentially be something serious.

A top 1% guy on these apps (charismatic, extremely attractive, well-off) is going to be overrun with matches, whereas average looking guys are going to have a tough time. I hear that a lot from my friends who aren't at all bad looking, but they're usually lucky to get 1-2 genuinely attractive matches per week. The match % for guys probably looks like an exponential growth curve similar to US income/wealth distribution. While I generally do fairly well in normal meetup environments (bars), I do disproportionately better with dating apps.

I can tell you this, there is a trick to using Tinder that most men and women will never figure out. I'm sure not going to give it away either.

I heard Tinder is more for the younger crowd, not interested.

Only Tinder date I went on was someone I already knew. So effectively zero success.

Im old and married so I dont get to play in the Tindr sandbox either, but the Tindr Nightmares on Instagram is a must follow.

Your numbers are high. The woman sign up on these dating apps for self affirmation more than actually trying to date, much less bang.

They can sign up, post a cute pic and get 1000 matches and likes. A guy even of average looks decent professional career will get very very low responses, and one word answers to those he does "match".

I watched a Youtube video where a girl posted a fake account as a guy and she was shocked at how bad the response was. The guy she used was average to above in looks, at least 6 or 7, she said he was a clinical psychologist, so an interesting and lucrative career... she got no where.

The guys that are crushing Tindr are the guys you'd think would crush Tindr.

I have a friend who is 50 and she met her boyfriend on Tinder. She said there are tons of older, divorced people on that app.

One thing I would advise for men, is not to lie about your height. (A lot do.)

ashley madison is better. I smash a lot of very hot , stay at home cougars. Kids are over a friends house., husband is boring and never home. Most of the time it's a one time thing, but that is fine.

I though that was exposed as being nothing but bots that keep guys sending txts and emails until they eventually pay out some $$.
