I wear it during training, but I remove if for races.
I know it’s silly, but it’s extra weight.

Discuss? What is there to discuss? Yes I run with my ring on, why wouldn’t you?
Initially I wasn't wearing mine much because of my workout habits, but that had more to do with the weight room than running. I also don't like to wear it if I'm going to play basketball, too.
With running, I suppose I'd rather I didn't wear it, but I could get by with it on. Having said all that, since the virus situation, I haven't taken it off. I have no weight room access and I don't really play any basketball now, either. I mostly do ploys and running workouts, and my running workouts are super low intensity now, to boot. So, I just keep it on at all times now.
I could see getting back into a weight training regiment and taking it off more often again, and I could possibly see taking it off on really high intensity sprint workouts if I get to those again in the future. But, I've actually gotten used to having it on which was something I wasn't sure was going to happen for me; I'd never worn jewelry on my hands previously. So I'd probably try to make more excuses to keep it on now rather than excuses to take it off prior to the virus.
Certainly it wouldn't bother me anymore, even on intense sprint workouts, so I'd probably wear it for all my running now. Unless I lost a ton of weight, which seems unlikely.

Get a silicone ring. Can be worn all the time.
I've thought about this, but it seems silly and unnecessary.
I usually wear my ring when running.
I take my ring off if I think that I'm going to be doing anything that will be problematic for the ring or my finger. If I'm going to be grabbing metal parts, doing farm work, climbing, etc. I leave the ring at home.
I don't understand these people that would never take their ring off. It's a nice symbol of commitment I suppose, but some people seem like they would feel morally inferior if they were to take their ring off. In some cases you can tell that they falsely feel that they are morally superior simply because they keep a symbolic piece of jewelry on their finger. Either way, it's just a symbol.
Yes. Actually, I very rarely took it off. I only take it off when doing work where it might get banged up or be a safety issue. I also take it off sometimes when swimming, because shrinkage happens to fingers too and I worry about losing my ring in the water.
I wear a plastic ring while I'm outside running or doing yard work and I wear my fancy gold ring for formal events and church.
^ This.
I bought a five pack of these things for like $5 post-wedding and have slowly migrated to wearing them exclusively. They fit just perfectly. Especially nice for when I'm doing any rowing or paddling (more comfortable and bonus factor of zero worries of loss).

I hope to god you're not a proctologist.
I hardly ever wear my ring as it's just annoying to wear
Why does anyone get married nowadays? What's the point? The only purpose of marriage is so your wife can take all your stuff when you split up. If she really loved you she'd be more than happy to cohabit.
I live in a large city and therefore I either run with no rings or switch to a Qalo ring for my runs. Better safe than sorry.
Yes, and I can gauge my fitness based on ring. If it’s sliding around during an interval workout, I’m ready to PR. If it’s stuck like glue around my fat finger, I better up my mileage.
If you live in areas with deer fly then you may not want to wear rings while running in the summer when deer fly attack and bite runners in the head, shoulder, forearms, temple or anywhere else they can. Swatting at ones own head to attempt to kill a deer fly can be very painful when wearing a ring. Some use fly paper on their hats to prevent getting bitten. The fly tape can catch from a few up to several dozen flies on a run. A bite from a fly can be painful.

I wear mine all the time with the following exceptions:
1. Lifting. I don't like how it feels when the bar pushes my ring into my finger.
2. Dealing with sh*t, literally. Whether it is wiping my arse, changing a diaper, or changing the litter, it comes off.
3. Swimming. I have a paranoia it will come off in the water and get lost even though it is properly fitted.

Even in surgery when your supposed to take it off I had them tape it.
What a dum approach ^

This is such a strange post.
You have hurt your head because you hit it while wearing a ring??
The ring is always on. When I had to remove it for an MRI, it was a major production getting it off.
used to wear it on all runs, kinda loose. lost it the deshutes river after a run. we got out new rings sized and the jeweler made them too small. Now neither of us wear rings. My vows dictate my marriage not my ring.
