Is there any literature on his training principles or a full plan? Workouts? Periodization?
Would love to hear more about what he does if anybody on here knows. Doesn’t seem to be anything online.

Probably does pretty similar if not the same thing Alberto was going except he’s not working with Rupp and Farah. For everyone except Brazier and maybe Engels it’s pretty similar to every single top level coach in the world. Once a week speed session, once a week strength session, once a week long run. Through NOP did place a large emphasis on sprint work more than other programs I’ve seen, as well as a pretty intense weight routine
Pete Julian and the athletes that he coaches have never even met Alberto Salazar.

Well now, that’s a falsehood, isn’t it?

i think they all “met” alberto but he wasn’t really his coach. a lot of them just worked with pete
I don't think Pete Julian uses Testosterone Creams like British Athletics allegedly does.

If you look online you can easily find information. I’ve heard multiple interviews with Engels alone that describe his workouts.
4-6 mile tempo runs
8x800 getting down to 2:00
A lot of ladder workouts like sets of 16/12/8/4 or 8/6/4/2.
Long runs at a good clip. I think Engels said he’s done 13 at 5:12 or 5:15 pace.
It’s similar to Alberto’s program, but seems less intense.

The source was a podcast interview Engels did with "The Strength Running Podcast". The Episode is #93 on April 24, 2019
Engels also talked about running 70 mile weeks most of the year but doing them mostly in singles during base phase and switching to shorter doubles during the season.
Weekly structure is the same as has been published all over the place for Salazar:
Monday - Easy
Tuesday - Strength workout (Tempo or Long Repeats)
Wednesday - Medium Long
Thursday - Easy
Friday - Speed workout or 3K pace stuff (ie 200's, 300's or 600 breakdowns)
Saturday - Easy
Sunday - Long at a decent clip. Somewhere between easy and tempo pace
Very basic weekly structure shared by most college programs. Salazar also placed a big emphasis on lifting and form work though I'm not sure if he and Julian are the same there.
Engels has done a few podcasts. The strength running one is solid. Just search “Craig Engels podcast.”
