David. You really need to start looking ahead instead of backwards. Take ownership of things and get a move on kid. I am challenging you to answer each one of these and not fire off a one liners like you always do. Stress fractures are not all caused by the same things. First and foremost: No it's not too much milage, especially spread out over 6 sessions. 25 miles, even at 10 minute mile pace over 6 sessions equates to each session being around 41 minutes. No, that is not too much or too long.
1. Did you get your running shoes properly fit to you and your gait?
2. Did a coach or anyone look at your foot strike and gait?
3. Do you land on your heal or mid foot?
4. Do you have a heavy foot fall?
5. Were you eating enough and eating the right things?
6. Were you sleeping enough?
Not everything is someone else's fault, down to genetics, or some other random bit. Start taking flipping ownership of your situations and opportunities. You're headed to a Pac12 school with club running options. You have a chance to be a part of a team if you quit whining and complaining so much.
